Avanta Management Group AMG (of Austin) Over-charging, ignoring repair requests and playing dirty. Austin, Texas

Avanta Management Group works for the people who owns my current residence and my neighbor's residence. They are responsible for hiring and sending contractors to repair or replace parts of the house/appliances that are broken...however upon conversing with our neighbor it appears this AMG does VERY LITTLE of repairs at all.

So far, the first few weeks we moved in we didn't have HOT WATER, or GAS. I had to shower using basins of water I boiled in the microwave. They were very negligent on sending the gas company out to get us gas in a timely manner. Also, EVERY appliance was broken when we moved in. Currently the fridge has no door handle. The stove was busted and was replaced nearly a month later, and the dish washer was SO OLD that it would run on of it's own accord! Wasting gallons of water each time it has done so.  Sure, the stove and dish washer are replaced now, but the fridge still hasn't got a handle. 

For each repair we were told to *email* them about whatever repairs needed to be done, and they would handle it. So far we have sent about 20 emails or more and NOTHING has been done! Each time we call them to discuss this, the main man Kirby says that every contractor they try to hire is "too expensive" and the woman who owns our house doesn't want to pay them so much. We've lived here for nearly half a year already and I DOUBT that's the been the case. 

Last but not least, each time we send out our rent checks they email us AND call us saying they "can't find the checks" or they "can't find the money orders" and IMMEDIATELY send us mail saying we have 7 days to vacate the property for lack of rent payment. Of course, this isn't legal and haven't acted on such threats. But now they're content with charging us fees for missed rent when THEY themselves misplaced our payments.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO RENT A RESIDENCY WITH THEM AS THE MANAGEMENT GROUP, DO NOT DO IT! THEY WILL TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY AND RUIN YOUR CREDIT DOING IT.

YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANYTHING MORE THAN MAJOR APPLIANCES FIXED.

There are already several lawsuits going on against this group, and more are sure to follow.
