Avery Heating and Airconditioning ripped me off in a service call in Dallas, Texas

My airconditioning went out on Friday.  I called Avery Air in Dallas and made an appt to come out early in the morning to accomodate me.  Once he came out there, I asked them to check upstairs and he took a leak detector and found no leaks.  He said everything was ok. He said that I needed to replace my outside condensing unit.

They primarily sell Trane and I had a carrier.  I failed to read the ripoff report to see how the service was.  He didnt check the evaporator coil, he didnt even check the filter. But all he wanted to do is to sell me a 3300.00 trane condensing unit outside.  I found out that after calling a carrier dealer what really was the problem and The Colony Airconditioning service was FREE.  They said if the people who installed my a/c system wouldnt replace it for free, then please call us, and we ill put in the new evaporator coil that afternoon.

BUT Avery Air tried to sell me the most expensive part of the system, the outside compressor and condensing unit were just fine, and in fact it the origional a/c contractor made a mistake and put in the wrong system.

Avery Airconditoning RIPPED ME OFF FOR 89.99 for a service call. They tried to set me up with a salesman that evening but I refused. Avery REFUSED TO REFUND the charges for the call, when they did nothing, and they tried to sell me a outside condensing unit to replace my current unit which was  actually just fine.

STAY AWAY FROM AVERY.  DO NOT FOR ANY REASON call Avery.   They try to cheat you by selling parts that arent needed.
