Amy Viggiano Deittrick defrauds seniors. Owner of AVID business services Amy Deittrick has been working with Jared Shafer, an infamous Las Vegas private guardian for many years. My father died in 2007 and because I was living in Salt Lake City, the courts appointed Shafer guardian for my dad. When I began receiving Bills from Jared Shafer, I noticed my father's account was being double billed. The largest amounts of money went to Shafer and about 25% went to Mrs. Amy Deittrick under the name AVID Business Services. The amount of money going to AVID totaled $32,647.32. I checked with the State of Nevada, Clark County, and Las Vegas to determine if AVID was a licensed business. No records of a business license was ever issued to AVID Business Services. I decided to do a bit of research and attempt to have a friendly discussion with Mrs. Deittrick. She took my call. Her arrogance was remarkable. Mrs. Deittrick told me she answers to no one but Jared Shafer. She said if I was being ripped off, that was tough. I told Mrs. Deittrick about the license status of her business. She remarked Jared will protect me from everything and that includes taxes. Mrs. Deittrick feels confident because Mr. Shafer was Clark County Nevada's former public guardian. I am posting to this forum because of the previous reports about Mr. Shafer on this site. I wanted to add my experience to this group. Something must be done to stop AVID and Jared Shafer from robbing our seniors of their hard earned money.
