AVLIS INTERNATIONAL - Marketing Group LTD ripoff Nationwide

I received a call from a man who said I was approved for a $2500 credit card with 0% interest for the next three years. He then explained how a company called Avlis cosigned for the loan and is an unsecured credit card. This card is designed to help rebuild your credit he explained. Later he said he needed an active account # to process the $349 one time processing fee. I would receive my card within 10 business days after the check was processed. The account was debited 349 and I waited for a few days. I then called the toll free number to find out exactly what I was getting and when.

I got an answering machine and this raised a red flag. I thought if this was a legitimate company wouldn't they have live operators 24 hrs 7 days, or at least a number to a claims department or something. So I left a name and number and they called me back. I asked them what was being sent and as they were telling me I got disconnected. Before the call ended I heard something about a package with travel information. I tried to call back and only received the answering machine again. After a few days of waiting for a call back I decided to go online to see if the company had another number on a web site.

To my surprise the first thing that came up on the search engine was Rip-off Report.com. I looked at the many people who had, what appeared to be, the same company call them and swindled them out of money. I decided to do a little more checking into the company and could not find anything about it. I then called my bank and had them file a fraudulent charge against AVLIS INTERNATIONAL Aka Marketing Group LTD. They refunded me my money and put a stop payment on them in case they tried to charge it again. I am going in tomorrow to close that account and open a new one.

I wasn't satisfied with that so I got the information about the charge and started making calls and searches on the Internet. When I called the banks that processed the check they were more than willing to help and gave me as much information as I needed. I eventually got back to AVLIS INTERNATIONAL Aka Marketing Group LTD. I called them and got through to a representative. This woman could put me through to a supervisor or even give me the name of any. I asked to speak to her direct floor supervisor and conveniently that person wasn't available. In fact no supervisor was available at the time. I asked what they did if an irate customer called and she could not handle the call whom would she send the call to. She said she could handle anything that came up. I demanded to talk to a supervisor and she hung up the phone. I immediately called back and again got an answering machine. I called back to one of the banks I called originally and got a regular (not a toll free number) number and a name of what they thought was the supervisor. I will call them in the morning as well as the Attorney General's office, and anybody else who Rip-off Report suggests to call. I am determined to stop these people stealing money from us.
