I am a professional plumber with 20 years of service plumbing experience. I have owned my own business and worked all over the world in my field. I recently was offered an opportunity to work for a company advertising for a service plumber position for the Jacksonville FL area.
I submitted a resume, and agreed to begin work with this company by the name of AZ Plumbing based out of Boca Raton, FL. The company is owned by some Russian guy named Alex Zadov and the man who hired me was his manager, Simon Leizgold.
As it was explained to me, most of the company's work was done for warranty companies.
When I say warranty companies I mean companies that sell HOME WARRANTIES (often to the elderly and first time buyers.) American Home Shield (AHS), Colonial Home Warranty and Old Republic Home Warranty just to name a few.
The fact that most of the calls would be brief and sometimes was just a call to make a determination as to wether or not a claim was valid was fine with me. This would mean that most of my calls would be brief service calls for which I could be paid after making minor repairs or rendering the expert opinion on a situation and then moving on to the next call. In theory this would be fair for me and the client that had purchased the warranty. I soon realized that this was not the case.
Not only did I witness my trainer commit fraud against the client, I also know for a fact that the prices that were quoted to poor clients were outright price gouging. After realizing what kind of company had hired me, I declined to continue my training. It was agreed that I would be paid the menial sumof $10 per hour while being trained. I agreed to this knowing that because I am expert in the field that the training should be for administrative purposes and should be brief.
I worked 20 hours where I personally performed 90% of the work to prove my ability, and now that I realized what their scam was and told them I didn't think we could do business. They have refused to pay me the measily $200.00 they owe me. If I didn't hame 3 kids and a wife along with $1500 rent a month, I might let it go. But the fact is, this company is stealing from me and all their clients.

AZ provides great service consistently

This company can be trusted, they do not overprice like other remodeling and plumbing companies do. I've been a loyal customer of them. They are honest and very helpful. Technicians arrive at your doorstep a few minutes before their set appointment. Very professional and respectful. They take good care of your home, makes sure everything is clean after a job was done unlike other companies who leave their garbage in your house and you needing to clean it up for them. I recommend AZ Remodeling and Plumbing to everyone I know, this company is the best and I don't ever want to deal with another plumbing company again.

Great experience with AZ

There are customers that are just dissatisfied with AZ Plumbing, or for any other company for that matter. But I have to say that I just had a wonderful experience with AZ Plumbing, the Technician they sent me did a wonderful job and is very professional. I had a problem with my warranty company previously because they would not cover some of the problem I had with our plumbing but the Technician at AZ explained this to me and gave me a fair price. He went and fixed it and assured me that if I will encounter some problems, I can call their office and let them know and he will come back to fix it again. True enough, after a week I found some minor leaks and called the office, they sent the same Technician, he fixed it again and true to his words; it didn't cost me anything.

Home Warranty Information
AUTHOR: Christina - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Friday, February 17, 2012
I am a customer who is not only dissatisfied with the services AZ Plumbing provides, but I also have a home warranty that sent me to this company.
Regarding Simon referring to customers as not being "poor" because they have " at least $700 a year" for the home warranty, that is absolutely incorrect. First of all, my home warranty costs under $400 per year. And, as the initial reporter stated, we are first-time home buyers; therefore, we did not pay a dime for this warranty. It was turned over to us with the purchase of our home.
More importantly, the reason I might consider paying the cost of the home warranty each year would not be because I have extra money. It would be because I am afraid that if something breaks in my home and I don't have a warranty then I will have to do without a necessity because I cannot afford to replace/repair it and the home warranties are affordable enough (compared to repair/replacement costs) to make it worth-while.
I have experienced this company billing my home warranty company after I was told by 2 employees that there was going to be no charge and receiving an invoice with no charges filled out. They know that the home warranty company will pay them if a bill is sent and then the home owner is left to either pay the bill or have their home warranty cancelled.
Everyone needs to be aware of the scams this company forces on people!

licensed contractor

AZ Plumbing and Air Inc (www.azplumbing.com) is a licensed contractor servicing Florida, Alabama and Texas.
One of the main services we provide to our customers is the comfort of knowing that our techs are all background checked and licensedSteps we take.
1. The potential plumber rides a long with my master plumber and we then determine if the potential plumber will be hired.
2. we run background checks and reference checks.
The potential plumber below (no name provided) did not pass step one and more importantly failed a background check.
He was then notified that he will not be hired.
To answer some of his questions and concerns
" I soon realized that this was not the case. Not only did I witness my trainer commit fraud against the client, I also know for a fact that the prices that were quoted to poor clients were outright price gouging."
- Poor clients is a very relative word. Most of our clients are warranty clients which means they have at least 700$ a year to pay for warranty service.
"After realizing what kind of company had hired me, I declined to continue my training. It was agreed that I would be paid the menial sumof $10 per hour while being trained. I agreed to this knowing that because I am expert in the field that the training should be for administrative purposes and should be brief. But the fact is, this company is stealing from me and all their clients."
-If we steal from our clients we would not be in business and Thank God we have been providing excellent service for over 8 years. Work for some of the largest companies in the country.
-This person is upset because he was not hired and I am pretty sure he will not be hired by any plumbing company. He was also never promised to be paid. First day working interviews never get paid. If he was hired he would have been compensated for the previous day. (its called a working interview)
