My father had ordered me a candy stick for Christmas, he ordered it 12/23/2011. After a few weeks had passed I didn't receive a tracking number for the package, I called the company and let them know to hold the package because I was moving out of state. The lady told me that she would put a note on the account to have them call when it comes in. I got to a hotel because we hadn't found a house and wrote them to see what was going on. They wrote back and told me that it was basically lost.

So I decided to call the manager Erik Gupta and he told me he would be happy to send the package overnight so that it would get to my house either Saturday or Monday (I spoke with him March 1st, Thursday). A week later and no package so I wrote him back and this is what he said to me.

"First off I just want to say how insane this is that the package ha been lost TWICE.. I am very sorry I have never seen anything like this happen before. I feel bad that you haven't gotten your package and we have lost a total of 2 backdrops and the shipping charges.  Luckly I have another one of these backdrops and Ican send it out to you either express through the postal service which would be there tomorrow or I can send it UPS and it would be there tuesday. Your choice let me know and again I am sorry."

Ok now let me break down the lies in this message. First off Backdrop outlet does not make the candy sticks, they are printed through another company which is why it can take a couple of weeks because they are made when ordered. So its funny that they had the same backdrop I ordered just laying around . Second, they never sent out the package that 2nd time and they blamed it getting lost on USPS, which is not true because they never sent the package out. Third, this is an ongoing problem with this company, for him to say he has never seen anything like this is a lie.

If you don't believe me go check out the 60+ complaints on BBB's site on this company. Last but not least, through all the emails I have been sending Erik, I have told him numerous times to send the package out asap and do it overnight. I got a message today and he told me it was too late to send it out today, that he wasn't sure if I wanted it sent overnight. He did this only so that the company would not have to pay extra to ship it overnight.

All I know is this company had to change their name because they got sued by another company for infringement. That is why then went from the name Drops and Props to Backdrop Outlet. I am not sure if I will ever get my candy stick but I will not hesitate to take action against this company if I do not receive my package very soon. I am tired of them "losing" my package and I wish I did my research on this company before I chose to buy from them. I will NEVER use this company again, I hope everyone can learn from this and chose a different company instead.

Issue resolved

The issues that I was having with them have all been resolved, and for the trouble of the late package they sent a free backdrop as well. I will do business with them again because they proved to me that they are a good company and I'm happy that it has been resolved.
