I share with all of the horrible experience I had with Bank of America. Back in early 2008, I opened 3 accounts at the same time with Bofa- a personal checking, a savings and a business account. I deposited $100 on each one of the accounts initially. I had online access to all three accounts and to my surprise, a few days after opening the accounts; my business account didn't appear online anymore.

I called Bofa and they told me that my business account had been closed because I had not shown the bank the article of incorporation". This explanation doesn't make sense since they would never have opened the account and given me all the paperwork and the ATM card if I had not shown the documents when I opened the account.

The $100 I had deposited on the business account, I expected Bofa to transfer to my personal account once they told me the business account was closed. I never checked if they did, I just assumed that Bofa did so.

Recently I went to my Bofa branch to again open a business account. I told them that I once had a business account with them that they chose to close without any apparent reason. The woman in the branch checked in the computer system and found that Bofa had deducted a $15 monthly account fee that consumed my $100 initial balance during 7 months finally shoving a negative balance of $5. THIS FOR AN ACCOUNT THAT BOFA CLOSED WITHIN A FEW DAYS AFTER OPENING!!

The woman I spoke with in the Bofa branch quickly realized that something was not in order with this account. On her screen, there was neither a date of opening nor the date that the account was closed. She told me that it should not appear like this.

She therefore wrote a request for clarification to a central department of Bofa and she promised me that she would call me within two days once she gets an explanation. I never got any call.

Six days later, I called her and she again promised to call me the following day to give me their findings. Again no call. A couple of days later, I called her again and reminded her of her promise to call me. Again she promised to call me the following day. Again no call from her. Again I had to call her. This time she told me that she had been told by the branch manager that it happened to long ago for Bofa to do anything about it.

I decided not to give up that easy so I spent hours on the phone with different central departments of Bofafrom 9:30-4PM and no one at Bofa tried to solve it. All they do is to transfer you to somebody else after you have spent 15 minutes explaining. Once you are transfred the whole process start over again. The new person on the line need to check your identity all over again and does not knoe the reason you called so for every person you speak with you have to start from scrath. It tears you down and that is the strategy of this mobster bank. I was transferred from person to person until someone again said that the money is too old for me to get it back.

So Bofa tells you it is ok for them to steal your money and if you dont complain within two years, they will keep your money. Be careful when you deal with this bank, they will steal from you any way they can.
