Because of several e-mails to my web site of fraud by Bank of America.

I went to the bank and opened up a checking account in a business name.

It didn't take them long to start the fees of $34 each. I over drew the account $1.82. They charged me$34. Than $34 more because that $34 was not covered and so on and in 4 days the account was $411 neg.

I called Mr handcock to talk about the account. He hung up the phone on me and said the fees were legal. Not giving the customer any chance to explain. All he could see were fees and profit.I went to another branch to talk to them, same story, rude, not caring about the customer.

I'm not so sure they can charge fee for fee not paid. I'm sending a report to the FTC. They charged the account 10 fees of $34 each in 3 days.

I send a bank draft to take the fees back from them thru paypal and Mr Handcock almost had a heart attack. At this time he is trying to charged them back to paypal.
It is very un fair to people who are on a very limited income and the bank takes 1/2 of their SS check in fees.

This is very commom. Banks like this make this their main profit.

They have the bank computers program to get the most from everyone.

They put money in this account and than put it back in a couple of days in order to create the fees. You give a check at bank of America, it is taken from the account at once, make a deposit and it goes in in a day or two. I've had this several time with them.I had them to hold funds on a check drawn on them for 3 days and return checks as not collected and charge $34 fee for each one. They are fee crazy and I think a lot of what they do is in question or border line.I would like to hear from other people with problems with bank America.

My report will not be ready for several more months, I have a lot more to do with them.

How to "manager" your account

AUTHOR: Stile - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 06, 2005

"In short they have learned how to steal from the consumer who can't manager their account."

Allan, you're making a lot of bold assertions about BofA delaying processing of transactions. Do you have any actualy evidence of this or are you just blowing smoke?

Also, you repeat again and again that the bank is taking advantage of people who can't manage(r) their accounts. Part of the customer's deposit agreement is that it is their responsibility to maintain the account. We're talking about 3rd grade math here: Addition and subtraction. Can you explain to me why people are incapable of managing their accounts? It's a simple question of writing down your transactions and not spending more than the balance in the account. In all your bluster, you haven't explained how the bank is actually at fault. It sounds like your just upset that you're being charged fees. But you agreed to the fee structure when you opened the account.

In short, balance your checkbook, read your deposit agreement, and don't spend more than you have and I guarantee you'll never have another Overdraft fee in your life.

You are right.
It was set up at one time to charge $1 for each return check. Than the banks saw the real profit
in charging more money for fee.
They than figured out to pay the large checks first to charge you fees for the many little checks that were over your balance.
People who keep a small balance or over draw their accounts, write more small checks over all than large ones.
The banks know real fast if you fit this group.
They than milk you for all they can get. They
hold deposits, delay posting and blame it on the computers. Well it is the computers, but they put the programs in them.
In short they have learned how to steal from the consumer who can't manager their account. At lease for the time being,
The loop hole is closing on them, it is just a matter of time before some of them get charged with a crime.
There are really thousands of people who are caught up in this.
And yes, 53rd is bad.

Well Robert , you must work for BOA. You are trying to take this rip off away from them. It is BOA we are talking about.

I filed the first paper work aganist Ameri-one.
I filed the first paper work with the Fed about them.
I receive one of the first check that was issued by the fed to cuastomers.

Read the facts and the law suit. Look for the name Allan.

I have been very active in these types of law suits. There have been several.

Now lets talk about BOA and how they are able to keep going with all the millions of dollars they keep paying in law suits. Earnings have increased
for them thru fees and non earned charges. They are a Rip Off for the poor person who can not manager their account. We should all try to help look after the people who can not do it them selves. Not steal them blind. I will never let this go. There has to be something done to limit the banks from doing this in the way they are doing it.BOA is one of the bad ones, there are many more who do this also.
I have a book comning out early next year about this.
Have a good day.

Very good Allan

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 08, 2005

YOU make wild claims that are completely UNSUBSTANTIATED, even by your own "evidence". I refute them with FACTS. Therefore, I am the one doing nothing to help anyone. Twisted logic at its' best.

I probably helped far more people by telling everyone what the fines were for than you did by complaining about your NSF fees and claims of putting the stones to Ameri-One. You had nothing to do with it. The Feds went after them after an audit.

I love guys like you Allan. You cannot handle simple mathematics, so everyone else is at fault. Some investigative reporter you are. Try investigating a 1st grade math book and looking up addition/subtraction. It will help you greatly.

POSTED: Monday, November 07, 2005

Well Robert, you have some of it right.
If you were more interested in getting facts, instead of trying to bad mouth some one who is helping people with problems.
What have you done to help any one.
I have a lot of letters from people who I have helped get their money back. You sound like a real jerk.
Now, why don't you try to help some one with their problems. Thats what this is all about.

I found it

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 05, 2005

The fees were for Ameri One Bank cards. Making electronic payments resulted in additional fees. It had NOTHING to do with writing bad checks or being overdrawn. Nice try Allan. Try again.

Lauri-Jacksonville you have it wrong.

AUTHOR: Allan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 05, 2005

If you are talking about the Bank I'm talking about, you have it wrong.
This was fees charged.

It was Ameri-one.
They had to refund all the money and stop
charging the fees. They were un-earned fees.
Now you can look it up and read it.
I can't give all details here as space will not permit.

It wasn't a bank, but a credit card division of the bank....

AUTHOR: Lauri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 31, 2005

FYI - It was Citigroup, and the suit was brought because a consumer in California got disgruntled because if he only made his minimum card payment, it would take over 15 years to pay the balance off.

Because of this, Citigroup did have to refund certain classes of credit card holders some fee's.

But come January, all credit card consumers will feel the repercussions.

Instead of having a mininum payment that is approx 2% of the total balance owed, the new way of calculating a minimum payment will be 3.1% of the outstanding balance + any finance charges + interest.

So for the consumer that is barely making minimum payments, they are realistically looking at having the min payment doubled.

I doubt the OP had a single thing to do with this, he's just trying to borrow some sort of glory.

If it is Public Record, why can I find nothing about it anywhere? Since you say it is Public Record, post the name of the Bank, the date of the disposition of the case, and of course, the case number. Put up, or shut up.

Don't you read the rules at rip-off.

All you did was attack me.

The subject was Bank of America. If you don't know anything about the subject, I'm sure you know very little about an investigative reporter.

I spend all my time helping people who are getting ripped off by companies like BOA.
Your imput, if any should be about BOA, not me.

If you want the Bank name who paid 55,000,000, just e-mail me. It is a matter of public record in Cal.

I'm easy to find on the internet. Just put Investigative Reporter in your search.

Nice Work Allan

AUTHOR: R - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 22, 2005

Allan, it was brilliant of you to pose as a homeless illiterate to sting Mr. Handjob and BofA. I would have never guessed that you were a crack investigative reporter.

But why did you spill the beans? Now that BofA knows that you're on to them, they'll more than likely stop charging fees to customers that can't maintain a balance. They may even go to some type of honor system where YOU tell them what you think your balance is and they believe you.

In addition, each BofA will feature money trees in the lobby teeming with an endless supply of 100 dollar bills.

But, I imagine that this is all part of your plan!

Keep up the good work Allan!

POSTED: Saturday, October 22, 2005

"It is aganist the law if I can prove it." Good luck! I see the bank is quaking in its shoes. You're the one who overdrew the account.

"Uncover people working at the bank in time will get the information I need." Isn't it unlawful to have people in the nude working in a bank? Oh no--that's fast food locations, just in case they spill hot coffee on themselves.

Alan--don't quit your day job, if you have one.

Investigative reporter?

AUTHOR: Ken - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 22, 2005

Spelling? Punctuation? Capitalization? Grammar? Yeah, you are a reporter like I am an astronaut.

And as for your 55 million in fees? Exactly what bank would that be? I'd like to read about that one.

When you lie like this you hurt the cases of people who are genuinely being disadvantaged because your bogus claim gets lumped in with their legitimate damages.

I'm sorry you missed the point. I'm an investigative reporter. Because of the reports I have received about BOA rip off of fee that they do not earn I have opened an investigation into the banks actvities. Its not the customer over drawing the accounts, its the bank holding deposits and not giving credit for deposits, and at the same time paying checks to over drawing the customers account and charging these unearned fees.As I said they kept a deposit 2 days and than held the funds on a check that was their check and returned items and charged a fee.
That is plain theft on their part. They get away with it as a matter of policy. They look like they have the computers program to do this.It is aganist the law if I can prove it.Uncover people working at the bank in time will get the information I need. I have plenty of time, BOA is
a very large company. They take millions of dollars a week doing this, it has become a good part of their profit program, they have gone from earning their profit to stealing it any way they can, most from people who can't fight them, as they are on the lower income scale.
When you call about the fees, they are rude and they just hang up the phone on you, that tells you they have no answer and tell you they know this is wrong, if it was on the up and up they would be happy to explain it to you and try to make you a happy customer. They are so large they want the fees more than the customer.

This is the second bank I have worked on, the last one had to pay 55,000,000 in fines and refund millions of dollars in fees.
We will see what happens, time will tell.

You shouldn't be using a bank

AUTHOR: R - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 21, 2005

Why don't you just not overdraw your account, then you won't have any problems with fees. I can guarantee it.

Also, why would BofA care about a "customer" such as yourself.

Here's some advice. People like yourself are better off not using banks. You should just use cash and money orders. That way you can't bounce a check. Of course, there will be fees for the money orders, but my guess is that they cost a lot less than 34 dollars.

Also, you would like to hear from other people who have had problems with BofA. By that, do you mean other stiffs like yourself that can't maintain a positive balance?

Maybe you'll all get a law passed that states
