Allen & Heath Financial Holdings clever sweepstakes SCAM!! Don't let them fool you. I didn't. North Bay Ontario

I got a letter saying I won a sweepstakes, signed by a Sam Silver and attached was a check for $3,175.00 to be cashed. The check looked legitimate but I was suspicious and decided to call the number (my contact person was Kimberly Malone.

Prior to calling her, I decided to look up the company, the address, the phone number and the bank where the check was to be cleared. I found no info on the company, address or phone number and the bank was found but not in the city listed. I then decided to call the number and see what they had to say.

The "agent" told me to go ahead and cash the check and contact her back if there was a "hold" on the check and then they would issue me an address in which to send the processing fees in the amount of $2019. I took the check to the bank just for curiosity and was going to wait to see if it cleared and contacted the "agent" the next day. I left her a message to contact me back, as I had gotten her voicemail.

I then checked, once again, the internet for the company and got the RipOff site with the Allen and Heath financial holdings scam notice. The agent then called me back shortly after this and I stated that I had spoke to her previously and that I had just reviewed an email stating the fraud of their company. She
responded "impossible" which to me is an odd response.

Anyway, I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and she conveniently said they were in a meeting but that I could call back in 15 minutes. I will be calling back, however, somehow I think they will not answer the phone. If they do I will be very interested in their response.
