This company is nothing but a scam. I purchased a rebate voucher in July 09. To date, I have not received a single gift card. Now I'm out $50, as are the hundreds of others that purchased from this company.

I tried to leave negative feedback on eBay but I couldn't (something about feedback can only be left after 45 days). Anyway, I can't get my money back or let other eBay users know. Here is some information on the company.

lack of communication

AUTHOR: Jen - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, February 28, 2010

I emailed this company for my august 2009 rebate which I should have received by now. the only way I could find an email is when i first asked this company a question when I first purchased my rebate program in july 2009.  There is no contact information now on the website whatsoever.  I have not received a response to my email regarding why I have not received my rebate yet.  the email that the company was using for communication was: claimyourcertificatenow@gmail.com

I also checked the domain listing and the claimyourcertificatenow.com domain has not been renewed based on a whois lookup and is scheduled to expire on march 22, 2010.  it is also a private listing so you can't find out anything about the owner of the domain.

I have been ripped off it seems and will be filing a complait with the link provided from the other user for cybercrime fraud.

follow up

AUTHOR: anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 25, 2010

I initially filed a rebuttal agreeing with the first writer about www.claimyourcertificatenow.com. I joined the program in June, making July the first month I could send in receipts. To date I have sent in 18 different receipts between July 2009 and January 2010. I have NOT received a gift card yet. I keep checking their website and they keep adding new information. Supposedly all July cards were mailed out by the end of January. It surely doesn't take one month to get a card. Their schedule posted for gift card mailing has a 6 month lag time from the time you send in the receipts until the time they send out the cards. This is unacceptable!

I have also noticed the "terms and conditions" have changed since I entered the program. They seem to give the company many new ways to avoid issuing the gift cards. One item added is the line that you cannot pay cash for your merchandise in order to cut back on fraud. You may only use a Visa or MasterCard debit card or a credit card. Using cash will void your entire program. I know I made a very small purchase (under $7) at one of the grocery stores, so does that now mean my entire program for that store is void? They also now state that they reserve the right to substitute any item of equal or greater value for the gift card at any given time. I did not join the program to get other items. Another item that was added states that all information on the voucher must be filled out. When I purchased a certificate in October, the voucher contained the line "membership number". I was never given a membership number. This now gives them a reason not to honor my three submissions for this particular store.

The contact information has been removed from the website, as has the long list of participating merchants. The website makes reference to filling out the "contact us" form but no such form exists. This is very suspicious.

I used the address given by another person on this website, www.ic3.gov/default.aspx, to file a complaint about this company. I suggest others do the same. Perhaps with enough complaints, the appropriate agency will take action. The form is lengthy but people need to get involved to keep this company from scamming others! I knew this entire rebate idea sounded too good to be true and it appears as though I was right. I should have listened to my instincts!

Something isn't right

AUTHOR: Ihatetocomplain - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 12, 2010

Gregmoore, you stated that you already received your gift card at beginning of December for the month of JUNE?! I sent in mine in July, and still have not received anything even though it is past their schedule that they provide. If I don't receive by end of February, I won't believe anyone. All these rebate programs are too good to be true.

CLAIMYOURCERTIFICATENOW BARGAINCENTER7

AUTHOR: gregmoore - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, December 20, 2009

Hey Dave S Ebay did not pull the auctions off on bargaincenter7. I emailed bargaincenter7 because I wanted to buy another certificate and they said that they pulled the auctions off because of a person by the name of Misael Figueroa Jr was contacting all of their customers and telling them false things about the program, they told me he was buying under various ID`s and leaving negative feedback also. I looked up on Ebay and it says you cannot sell when your feedback is private so I do understand why they did what they did. I will back that up because I was contacted by this person myself. I decided to do some investigating myself and found this Misael Figueroa Jr selling under other ID`s and he was selling the same rebates. I purchased some of the rebates and asked if I could send a money order. Low and behold he sends an email back saying that the money order needs to be made out to Misael Figueroa Jr with a New Jersey address but the paypal account was in a different name. This Misael Figueroa Jr wanted bargaincenter7 out of the way so they can command more money for the rebates since bargaincenter7 was selling so cheap. When I purchased the rebates from Misael Figueroa Jr. he was under the ebay user ID bes619. bes619 states that they are in Henderson Nevada but again I am sending the money order to Misael Figueroa Jr in New Jersey. I see a complaint above from Henderson Nevada so I find that to be very interesting. I took it upon myself to do some investigating because I am a retired investigator. What bargaincenter7 told me is true and some of you need to get your facts straight. Granted this rebate program is not the swiftest and is slow on redemptions but the gift cards do come and I am willing to purchase again from bargaincenter7 if they decide to put the auctions back on.

RECEIVED MY FIRST GIFT CARD ON 12-3-09

AUTHOR: gregmoore - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 10, 2009
I bought one of these rebates in May from the seller bargaincenter7 on ebay for this rebate program with www.claimyourcertificatenow.com. I registered in May and sent in my first batch of receipts in June and kept up with the program every month. Well I have to say I was a bit skeptical, I paid $19.99 so I was willing to try it out. I wasn`t  sure about this but the company would always respond to my emails so I kept my hopes up. I just received my first Visa gift card for $25.00 on 12-3-09.  When I went to pick up my mail I looked twice at the envelope and looked at the name and I was wondering did I finally receive my first gift card. I opened the envelope and sure enough there was a $25.00 Visa gift card attached to a letter from the rebate company claim your certificate now. The letter read that my next gift card will arrive within the next 45 days along with the normal congratulations and some ads were also enclosed from various companies. All I can say is I am so happy to have received my first Visa gift card, I paid $19.99 and got $25.00 back. So I guess I`m $5.00 ahead. My advice to other people involved in this rebate deal is to be patient. I consider this program to be okay but you just have to wait and be patient.

also haven't received my rebate cards

AUTHOR: anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, November 27, 2009

I purchased my rebate vouchers in June 09 from bargaincenter7 on eBay and registered them in the same month. I sent out my first set of rebate certificates by the end of July 09. According to a posting on the company's website, the rebate cards for July 09 would be mailed out on or about October 25, 09. To date I have not received my rebate cards. I followed the rules of the program and made sure my rebate requests were postmarked by the last day of the month. I also started collecting my receipts the month following my registration, as required by the company.

I also suspect this company is a scam. I always thought the whole concept was too good to be true but felt even if I received one rebate card I would break even. I sent them an email to let them know I haven't received my cards yet. If I don't receive my cards within the next week, I will also be filing reports on this company.

I HAVE RECEIVED MY GIFT CARDS FROM THIS COMPANY

AUTHOR: ebayshopper - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 11, 2009

I want to pass along to this person that did the complaint something that should help them out. I registered on the rebate website www.claimyourcertificatenow.com in March of 2009 and was eligible to start my rebate in April 2009. I have received all my gift cards to date that were due to me up to now. You need to follow their gift card mailing schedule that is posted on the www.claimyourcertificatenow.com website and you can also request this by email. I found the complaint above to be very unusual because this rebate program works. The rebate program is not a scam in any way.

If you purchased in July 2009 you would not of been eligible until August 2009. According to the gift card mailing schedule you are not due any gift cards yet.

You mention the Ebay reseller bargaincenter7 in this report. They are one of the resellers of these rebates on Ebay and I also purchased my rebates from bargaincenter7. They are not the rebate company. They are a reseller and a very reputable seller on ebay I might add.

I wanted to respond to this complaint above because I belong to the same rebate program and the complaint above is not valid. This rebate program works and it delivers.
