I worked with this individual years ago.  I saw him go through several client disputes. I didn't think much of it, we see lots of people like this.  I am a financial advisor.  Recently my IMO sent out an advertisement promoting him looking for brokers.  I could not believe the success he had achieved? I started speaking with some other advisors and called Mr. Barnowski. Turns out he was trying to sell businesses under a pretense of being a transparent Financial "expert".  He wanted a 60-40 split.  We later found out he did not have his securities license due to all the client disputes. Trying to run the commisions under ours as the broker.   He asks for a large upfront fee and a monthly marketing fee. He promises that you will get riches.  As we started to look further, we found out he was also selling other "products" that did not amount to anything.  His whole website is a farce.  None of the locations are real. They are just him pretending to have offices so you wil buy into his business opportunity.  Can we say franchise fraud? Do not buy a business from him. Do your own research and get the facts, it is all there. He changes his business name every year or so, I tried to list all I could find.

Interesting bit of creative writing from anonymous "Danbroker"... Here's the verifiable facts. Use this as a learning experience!

AUTHOR: Carl A. Barnowski - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 01, 2014

This "complaint" filed on the Ripoff Report site is a complete misrepresentation and is most certainly competitor bashing more than it is complaining.  So in response to this "complaint" I will set the record straight and offer some useful facts to those who might stumble upon this fantastic bit of creative writing.

First, this person doesn't completely disclose exactly who they are and I suspect that Danbroker sounds like a competitor of mine or someone who wants to do damage to my reputation without fully doing all of their research.   Dan claims to have known me personally as well as worked with me for years but doesn't say where, and I don't recall ever working with anyone named Dan here in South Florida or speaking with anyone named Dan nor am I in the business of selling anything to brokers.

Dan implies that I have changed the name of my company every few years in order to give the impression that I am trying to hide something... the truth is.  I started a firm called Creative Retirement Concepts, Inc. in Indianapolis back in 1996. After several years of being in business with a partner, I chose to give the business to him and move to Florida to start my own venture.  it was indeed a full blown financial advisory firm and I was affiliated with a major insurance broker dealer at the time.  I also worked with several high profile clients in Indianapolis from when I lived there and when the market went south and their stock options dried up, I was targeted by one attorney in particular for three subsequent cases in a row.  I make no dispute over the fact that I had several complaints and although difficult to stomach at the time and painful to watch the CFO of a major corporation claim that he didn't understand the risk involved in his own personal investments, looking back it was a blessing in disguise.  I make no effort to attempt to hide this reality, in fact, quite the contrary.  I recently wrote a blog post about investors and what's troubling them and discusses in depth the racquet of attorneys targeting higher profile advisors, using certain terminology and phraseology in their claims knowing that there is no cost to file a suit, FINRA will take all cases and 90+% of all suits settle without going to arbitration and the accusing atty walks with 40% of the settlement... it's big business and unfortunately the advisor is the one hung out to dry.  It's part of the deal.

After going through this ordeal and not wanting to continue in the securities business, i gave up my securities license several years ago by choice and currently hold a Life & Health License in the State of Florida (License #E095934), Indiana, Missouri, California, Michigan as well as a few others.  We make it abundantly clear in our correspondence with our clients as well as the public that we ARE NOT in the securities business, nor do we employ advisors who hold a license.  Dan makes the statement that I am in the business of recruiting advisors to share in securities commission or override in some way and that is categorically false. I don't contract ANY subagents who hold a securities license nor do I charge any fees to my agents who work with me.  I don't require any assistance in "running business" through another broker and that claim is also completely false.  Premier Annuity Source is a licensed insurance agency (License #L0073643) in the state of florida and also incorportated which can be verified at Sunbiz.org.  Recently, because of certain opportunities that I have had personally, I was encouraged by my business advisors to set up a DBA in order to capitalize on some of the PR and pubiicity that my name is recieving, which i have done.  Barnowski Financial Group is a DBA of Premier Annuity Source, NOT another corporate entitiy or name change.  This too can be verified on Sunbiz.org

There are a few other claims that are also complete misrepresentations that I would like to clear up and address while I'm at it.  Mr. Dan claims that I don't have "real locations" and that this is all just a joke.  Reality is that I indeed do hold non-resident licenses in all of the above mentioned states, pay real rent, have real phones being answered by real people and hold real appointments with real clients and employ real products offered by real insurance companies.  By way of example and verification, my Indianapolis office, which is located at 3815 River Crossing Parkway, Suite 100  Indianapolis, IN 46240, Ph. 317.569.2278 and holds Premier Annuity Source non-resident IN license #801830 which can also be verified at the Indiana department of insurance.   I encourage verification of these details, hence, the "verify us" page on my websites which has links directly to these pages for the public to verify everything.

One last item and I will wrap this up.  Mr. Dan also states that we are "selling products that don't amount to anything" My firm has well over 1500 clients all of which own principal protected products through great companies such as American General, Lincoln Benefit Life, Aviva, Athene, Fidelity & Guarantee, American National, Forethough, Allianz and Nationwide. To suggest that we are doing anything but providing only the best, most secure products with guarantees to our clients is completely absurd.  This too can be verified both by reviewing my personal insurance credentials and seeing the appointments that I hold as well as reviewing the many client testimonials that are posted on our site... all of which by the way we have written consent as well as talent release forms to verify as well.

The one unfortunate thing from this experience is that someone can remain anonymous, make these claims on a venue like this and they can be published without being substantiated or verified prior to being posted.  I chose to look at the positive in this and use this as an opportunity to offer the verifiable facts as well as use this as a learning device for the public to see what a nasty business this can be.  I offer my personal email address:  carl@barnowskifinancialgroup.com to anyone who would like to further discuss these claims, or request additional information.

Best Regards,

Carl A. Barnowski
