Barr-Nunn, Inc. Theft by thieves and company makes owner operator the only victim Grainger Iowa

Within two weeks of leasing my truck to Barr-Nunn, I am without a job, a check, a truck, and a ride home. I picked up a pre-loaded trailer with 13 skids on it and halfway through my trip, my truck and trailer was stolen out of a truckstop.

To make matters worse, I had some family health issues at home at the same time. Barr-Nunn explained that they would work with me through this.
Here is how they work with you: You need to stay in the area where your truck was stolen for two days.(remember family problems at home, only 400 miles away, and I have a ride with a former employer's truck)
Truck was convieniently found on the second day.

My first week's check which was direct deposited the night my truck was stolen was reversed. This was before my truck was located and the extent of damage was known.
The second week's check was never deposited. When I told them that I was quitting because they violated the FMC truth in leasing violations, they told me that I would be charged for all sorts of things.

Within 20 days of my truck being stolen, I was turned over to collections and had a negative mark on my credit. The collection company they used could not discuss the legality of the claim and Barr-Nunn would not talk to me about money that I supposedly owed them.
They also placed a wide spanning mark on my unscathed DAC report. No one could tell whether I had a truck stolen or if I commited a mass murder with it.

I researched this company through OOIDA and found no negative comments. It was after the incident occured that I began learning what I know now about Barr-Nunn and their business practices. I hope this helps to enlighten someone else before attempting to do any form of business with this outfit.
