Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

I totally agree with you all here. I am feeling the pain as well. What Barrister will do is to please you by
making the first two payments in a timely manner to deceive you and thinking it is a good deal instead of sitting in the house applying for jobs that have fruitless interviews, you gear up to work harder for the so called Barrister and that, your nightmares begin. It is true they are taking advantage of the high number of highly qualified professionals who have been laid off. This company is a complete rip off and for those out there in a desperate situation like me, please find yourself something better to do. You complete the job out in the field for them and send in the papers. They get the complete work order then after a month or so they will send you an email say WE CANNOT PAY YOU since we did not get the completed work order in time.
Obviously Barrister got paid by HP or whoever the contractor is since the job got done but they dont care about there technician. But here is my advise, DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR MONEY YOU HAVE WORKED SO HARD FOR! Here is a solution we can all do to protest and to make sure our money is paid in a timely fashion.

You all have records of the customers whom you have worked for and didnt get paid. Call the customer directly and demand your money. Let them know Barrister has refused to pay you and since you worked for them, have them pay you and Barrister can refund them. If we all do this Barrister will learn there fate now or in the future. My kids will not go hungry again when I have worked so hard to get them what they deserve yet somebody out there is holding my money. Lets keep this campaign on the role!!!.

According to BBB your business has only been in business for 25 years. So as a result of this everyone can already see a lie from your comment. Another thing is this "we take pride in a successful and ethical operation" I've seen things first hand and this is very very far from the truth. Also, "Thousands of technicians and hundreds of customers enjoy long-standing, successful relationships with Barrister" is very untrue I have talked with consumers and they are very unpleased with this company and HP because they actually do business with this company.
There is even a joke among contractors "If you work for Barrister increase the pay of the job so you owe double that back to them". If you have any payment issues do this "email" and you will recevie an excuse on why you will not get paid your due. Also, Feel free to contact a manger with any concern and get insulted for it from the manger you wanted to speak with. Here is the link to the BBB site

As a fellow contracted employee with a a degree and certifications in the field I agree. We never know what we are walking into. On my first job with Barrister I was offered a 45.00 rate without knowing what I was walking into as the description was different than the issue. Upon arriving at the site the client was not notified by their corporate office that I was coming. I waited 30+ mins waiting for my escort to meet me. Once I was where I was supposed to be I called corporate to start troubleshooting. After making multiple calls since my contact was not at work that day they finally found someone to test on their end. The last call lasted 3 hours and 43 mins. I was called several times by Barrister by mt Barrister contact while on the job that had to go to voicemail. When I called back the contact never answered and his voicemail was full. Now how am I supposed to deal with this? Overall the job lasted 5 hours plus I had to pay $10.00 for parking.  I ended up making less than minimum wage for the job and that's not counting gas and travel time. I called in to get a adjustment but since I had called in to close the job out as instructed, which was a 20 min hold time, the said they were unable to modify the rate. By the way I have yet to receive even that check. It was a hard lesson but I will never work with this company again as it was a huge waste of my most valuable resource, my time.

In my 35 years in the IT field, I have never worked for or even heard of a company like Barrister Global IT Services in good old Louisiana.  As a whole, I can't say if management purposely tries to rip off techs or if they (management) are simply the worst business people I've ever came across, the dumbest strategists, the most outgoingly threatening and disrespectful company EVER!  Most of the employees in the call center are probably young and just need a job and because of that, most of them drank the "kool-aid" and unfortunately for them they have to beware of Karma and the golden rule works in reverse.  I may not be the brightest technician around, but I know when I'm being called four or five times about the same exact thing by four or five different employees that are most likely sitting right next to each other in a psychodelic cloud, clearly they are either forced to do this, have been brainwashed, are stupid idiot hillbilly descendants of moonshiners, or simply aren't trained in using a call tracking system such as Remedy or Clarify.  These apps are designed and utilized to remember things that humans forget, that is, if in fact, the human actually knows how to use a keyboard and documents the data intended to be remembered by the tracking software.   This way, any normal idiot will see the latest notes and hang up or let the tech loose if it shows that he or she was just called and spoke to by another employee about the exact same d**n thing.  I have personally been scolded by call center employees that probably don't even know what a chipset or BIOS rom is, though they threaten us to ensure that we do this or that and not this or not that and send this part back but not that one, blah blah blah, it was simply the most stressful and aggravating job I ever had in my life.  Even my job at the Goodwill when I was 15 and a sweet mentally retarded gal fell for me and offered me cookies for lunch (and freaked me out at that age...not degrading any physically or mentally disabled people by no means...but I was a kid.  I quit the first day at lunch and never went back there again.  At least she was sweet and kind and wasn't in control of all of her shortcomings she was born with.  Barrister employees intentionally ridiculed me like they actually were smarter than me and I can argue to the world that regarding the field that I have been in for 35+ years that nowhere in the entire Barrister building is there any human being that is smarter as a whole than I am.  I mean, come on...even while training, the women are mostly Valley of the Dolls types and techs are not allowed to talk to anyone while on the premises, not even regarding money and pay issues which were constantly incorrect or simply not paid.  Some of the people walked by me with their slick clothes on and their cool car with the remote key fob thinking they were classier than I was, but I doubt it seriously.  They are weak and I am strong.  I was offered speedpay, and told I'd get paid within 7 days.  I got paid no faster than regular pay and they still deducted the 13 or 20 percent anyway.  If I actually was an employee at Barrister and was fooled for the first few days into thinking it was a normal corporate america working environment, and then figured out how freaking low-life and unprofessional and simply stupid the company was, I would have had no choice but to snap and knock everyone out who dogged me.  And of course go to jail and hang with all of their married cousins or whatever.  What a joke.  I was a top tech cleaning up and putting out fires for dumb asses that ordered eighty million parts at the direction from Barrister tech support and even Level 1 and 2 HP support.  I rarely used the parts that were ordered and laying everywhere with the PM2000e still red-lighting and unprofitable for Walmart, creating super angry customers and irate and embarrassed photo center folks.  I'd walk in and never once walked out without everything back up and running perfectly unless something was so fouled up and broken during a previous repair attempt by a bone-headed tech who needed to get slapped or even a SWAT person, (what SWAT lady put the pick cable on backwards and left it that way for me to come in and save my 4th HOTSWAP thereby saving embarrassment and ridicule for Barrister and saving approx 100,000 for HP.  Never once got a thank you or a even a pat on the back.  I was still treated like an animal with no brains driving on my paid gas getting paid maybe a few bucks for what they said was so many miles (like they know Minnesota roads and logging roads in Wisconsin, new construction, congestion at airports, etc) and actually ended up losing money on the deal.  I can't continue here as I am getting angry and want to fly down there and put a Kamora on both John and his sidekick.  I know I could beat all their punk behinds at the same time.  Bunch of punks born selfish and scamful and simply evil and who probably don't even meet the romantic desires of their poor wives who are all probably ashamed of them by the way they treat others.  I was ripped off for hundreds of dollars, threatened by morons daily, had to sit and listen to a threatening script every day after day like I was a two year old at the grocery store..."if you don't do this, you won't get paid and may be deactivated...and you must have all paperwork faxed in by the 3rd wait...the let me see the 10th day and must be on time tomorrow morning after being worked until 4:00AM, no hotel, snowing out in a blizzard, finally got a hotel, phone rang and rang and rang at exactly 8:00 am asking for updates that I gave to a million other dumb asses the night before.  Oh my GOD!!!!!!    Maybe alligator and crawfish have mind-altering substances deep in the meat or something.  WOW!  It was all one big nightmare for me.  I wouldn't work for those freaks if they offered me John's Jaguar, which probably has never had the back seat blessed yet....AHHHH HA HA HA.  And most of the Saints football players probably hate Louisiana and all it's so-called jazz history and Blues guitarists.  Crock of s**t!  The bangers who worked at the Subway in the airport reminded me of watching a 24-hour episode of COPS.  Felt like I was in another 3rd world country.  It's a wonder why we have 3M, Target, General Mills, Malt-O-Meal, NordicTrac, Ecolab, Pillsbury, Wells Fargo, US Banks, Imation, Carlson Companies, Dairy Queen, United Health Care, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and so many other great companies up here.  If any of them were to move their HQ down in the swamps, it'd be curtains for all of 'em.  Then again, we have CEOs and execs who have actually been profitable and succesful and champions without publicly and purposefully humiliating, belittling, and stealing from the working class americans they depend on to maintain those big checks arriving from HP and Lexmark and other large manufacturers.  I seriously believe that if it wasn't for Affirmative Action and the American equality we pride ourselves in, Barrister wouldn't get any business simply because it's listed and marketed as a woman-owned business which is also a d**n lie because John Bowers III is unquestionably at the helm.  May you all rot in hell as you eat your nasty un-deveined diseased shrimp, dirty rice, go bar hopping at dives with wrinkly nasty sun-dried daisy duke wannabees, and pretend to be good people.  As a caucasian man, in an attempt at showing my honesty and truthfulness, I can openly say that it's a shame that African Americans are treated so bad in the South when it's those swamp swimming crawfish eating white hillbillies that are the crooked ones.  I witnessed it first hand during all three of my visits to Hammond and New Orleans.  Power to the People!!!!  My brothers and sisters...when you get tired of being treated like crap by hillbillies pretending to be your friends, b***h slap them and move to Minnesota.  Sure we have racism and our share of problems and crime, but for the most part we don't crap on each other like "y'all" do down there.  Drama queens and kings pretending to be sexy and smart looking like Phyllis Diller in a blizzard with no makeup on, and sounding like Maude after ten white russians.  Us Yanks should have beat your asses when we had the chance and pulled our African American brothers and sisters up where they belong.  Where they are equal and sometimes even have more rights than us white folk, which is just fine with me.  They are more honest and deserving as I witnessed it everywhere I went on my visits down there.  I got constant, "Hi Baby"..."What can I do for ya, honey"...and just wholesome sweetness everywhere except when I ran into a white hillbilly chick who always looks pissed and is not really worth much more than a career at Barrister.  With that, I'll take my losses and move on.  I get paid three to four times more flat rate and twice the hourly with no idiots calling me to see if I've brushed my teeth yet and made my bed.  Freaking joke.  You don't how many times I wanted to reach through the phone after holding for an hour to choke Aaron's little punk a*s after he gave me a no-show because they nor I nor my brand new GPS with the latest updates knew where the hell I was going in Wisconsin at 2:00 AM.  Gotta take my meds and get some sleep and dream about Barrister falling off the edge of the continent and disappearing forever.  Ten four Whiskey Romeo Mama Papa Papa Mama zulu niner niner OUT!
