Batteries American Rechargeable batteries that don't last Middleton Wisconsin

First of all, the Batteries America employee that took my order said the rechargeable batteries would be shipped in two days.  Several business days later after calling almost daily, I learned that the pin tabs had not yet been soldered onto the rechargeable batteries.  This should have been my first clue.

After installing the batteries, the device worked fine for the first charge -- for one month.  Then, on successive charges, the batteries lasted less and less until they no longer hold a charge overnight.  This occurred within the first four charges over a period of about two months.

Upon intiially contacting this company, I was told that the symptoms described seemed to indicate incorrect polarity.  My retired electrical engineer friend, who soldered the batteries to the circuit board, said the device would not function with batteries installed in reverse polarity, and he had been careful to mark the polarity.  Then the company suggested that I charge the batteries longer -- true, the batteries lasted longer but were completely discharged in less than three days.

I was told that their batteries were not the problem.  Since I was installing them into used equipment, perhaps there was something wrong with my equipment.  The previous batteries lasted over 10 years, and they were still lasting longer than these "new" replacement batteries.  Also, the first charge of these "new" batteries lasted me one month.  I seriously doubt they would have lasted this long if the problem were my equipment.

Beware of this company.  Save yourself time and money.
