 Stayed at location for one week while in town on vacation. Hotel was actually fairly decent, although we were eventually told by the sheriffs department that it wasn't the best place to stay.

Went to the beach after being in the hotel for a few days, and left a decent amount of money in purse, which was not exactly out in the open. No one else except hotel, i.e. room service, hotel personnel had access to room while we were gone. Didn't think anything about it due to no problems to this point.

Returned to find the money in the purse was gone, but everything else was still in place, and suspected due to cash not being able to be traced. Brought this to the attention of the front desk, and they acted like it was our problem, and if we wanted to call the police, it was on us.

After voicing our complaint with them, they got back to us, stating that the maids said that they had taken nothing, which was puzzling because they thought that someone would actually step up and confess to it. We did not actually expect a refund of the money because it would set a bad precedent for anyone that claimed they had money missing, but the lackodaisical attitude from the front desk/management was very discouraging.

Filed police report anyway, but don't expect anymore help from hotel.
