I charged a future salon service. It was approx. $300. 3 days later, I changed my mind because I didn't hear good things about the salon. I called back. to ask for a refund to my card, and was told that it was charged as a "gift" or "gift card service" so they could not reimburse me even if I had the receipt.

The manager there said that all the girls there have been tellling people that there is no refund. I asked her, "Can you be absolutely sure, without a doubt tell me that I was told this? Because I am telling you I wasn't. If I was told this in the begining, I would not have charged $300 at that time." She responded with, " You have 2 years to use it." ...(I thought so..)..

any services paid for in advance can only be rung up on the computer system as a gift card. if the customer had purchased this gift card over the phone then employees let the customer know that we will be putting the charge on the gift card. that is the procedure for All purchases made in advance. also, there is a sign sitting at the front desk right next to the register stating that all gift card purchases are non refundable or redeemable for cash. it is your own fault if you do not understand the procedures or regulations.
