Please don't waste your time in working at Belzona Inc. You will never advance your career and will be under the false impression that the company is corporate driven. In the end you will realize it's a family business without room for improvement.

If you only hope to collect a paycheck and have a miserable working environment, go for it!

Belzona staff is overall friendly, but the owner, Kim Svendsen, is a shrewd racist individual who constantly referrs to her employees as subordinate and easily replaceable. Florida is an at will state, but her attitude toward employees was beyond disrespectful. The company itself is well established, but the treatment of employees is old fashioned and nowhere near corporate standards, despite their claims of being a fast growing company.

As an employee you are not allowed to give your opinion because you run the chance of losing your job. Kim Svendsen barely spends time in the office and when she does she parades her two annoying children, disrupting the work environment. If you look too Hispanic she will tell you that you remind her of a Mexican immigrant. She has a lot of tasteless sexual innuendos toward employees.

In 2008, she fired a pregnant employee immediately after she gave birth, No excuses, simply eliminated the position, but a few weeks after hired someone new. Staff members also rumored that she had an affair with Robert Cameron. I was told that he had harassed several female employees, but was never fired because of his friendship with Kim Svendsen. Not only was I told, but I was witness to his sexual comments and strange behavior.

Kim's disrespect was not only to employees, but to clients. When Kim referred to a few of the companies distributors, she described them as SOB's and simple salesmen.

Amazing this kind of behaviour is still tolerated

I am a current employee and sadly this state of affairs is still as true today in the company. No employee in this day and age should have to tolerate prejudicial or abusive behaviour of any kind in the work place. However, I have witnessed, and have email evidence, of Kim's bullying. Everybody is so fearful of her (a number of people are sacked each month - very high turnover!), that she continues to have this reign of power, which she doesn't deserve. She is a poor business leader which will eventually lead to the downfall of the company. 

The company is financially, at an all time low, with profits having halved from last year. Unless the company is sold I dont' think there is much future for this company. Money is being thrown at marketing and developing new products but it is for a lost cause.
