I purchased a cappucinno machine "online" from this company in good faith as a consumer for my small business. When i recieved this machine I noticed that it had a couple of minor defects but, the real problem was that once I inspected the machine it did not meet my needs for my business. Also having bought it online I couldnt really see the dimentions on some of the features that I needed. Also , I was Insured by the sales person that my machine would pass a health departmnet inspection and that it would be deemed for commercial.. When I inspected the the machines' owners manual, It clearly stated "FOR HOME USE ONLY!!!!!

I was very upset seeing that I just paid for a supposed "commercial cappucinno machine" So this machine was worhtless to me anyway. So the real nightmare began when I tried to return it.. On Best Beverage Equipments website there are no statements that say NO REFUNDS!!!! or ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!!

If there was I would not have purchased anything from this company in the first place. The sales person from this family owned company informed me real quick that i would Not recieve any credit for this machine that i never used. I had already shipped this machine back, paid for shipping myself only for BBE to mark "REFUSED" on the box and sent right back to me... I am outraged to say the least.. And now I am stuck with a $1000.00 piece of flawed equipment.. It pays to certainly buy locally..

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Inaccurate accusation made by Marlo Hoffer

AUTHOR: Sharla - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 08, 2003

There is a clause on our website about returns and Ms. Hoffer must not have taken the time to read it. It is on the warranty page.

Additionally, we discussed with the customer in depth the dimensions and the features of the machine. She made many calls to our company to ask many questions (we encourage that so customers are informed and make good buying decisions with our company).

We do not as a rule allow returns of equipment for no genuine reason.

The manual that Ms. Hoffer is referring to as saying that this machine is for "home use only" was printed in Europe (where this machine originates from) and is correct information for European markets.

However, US regulations allow for commercial use with these machines and they do pass all health regulations and inspections.

We discussed this with Ms. Hoffer extensively prior and after her purchasing the machine.

This is a classic case of buyer remorse and the company is expected to take the loss (since she used the machine I cannot sell it again as new).
