Bexar county towing practices ilegal methods to tow vehices, my sister and I have been victims of the malevolent acts. We were parked in our apt complex where we have permits and were still towed and forced to pay fees even while providing information that parking permits were visually displayed on windshields. Instead of noticing us of our rights, they threatened my sister four guys to one little woman, that she would not get her car back that day if she kept making claims against them. Bexar Towing should be indicted and made to pay fees to all of the victims they have intimidated and extorted.

As indicated in other complaints, this company has received an initial fine from TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) for over $60,000 but negotiated it down to only $19,000 based on what their regulatory agency has put on their website. www.license.state.tx.us so even the regulatory agency allows them to get away with breaking the law. To cover the cost of the fine, they only had to tow 64 vehicles from the Greyhound station to pay for it. They do more than that in a month and have towed from there for years, do the math.
Bexar towing has had new management/ownership since the end of 2010 so John is no longer in charge of Bexar Towing which is a shame because the new management choses to consider all of the rules to be negotiable so they don't follow them.
Complaints about illegal towing and business practices can be submitted to TDLR on their website, and I encourage everyone to do so. Please read the laws before doing it. They are also listed on TDLR's website.
Good luck!
