  • Bidz Co. 3562 Eastham Dr. Culver City, California U.S.A.

Bidz Co. Did not give me products "I won" during auction. Cut me off from winning an auction item. Misrepresented jewelry - descriptions wrong. Failed to give credit for returned item. Cut me off from bidding due to items I had bid on that day and not yet had time to stop and pay for. Company bid up items-no name of a person would show bidding against you. Quality poor on some items. Culver City California

I dealt with Bidz Nov. 2007 until February 2008 with much difficulty. Items I "won" during an auction would not make it to my account nor would I receive them. When I contacted them, the customer support was horrible. When the items became available again and it was brought to their attention, they would make no effort to make it "right" with me.

This happened several times. Also I noticed quite frequently that the company was bidding against me - often the numbers would start going up and there would be no name listed of who was bidding against me, just automatically the bidding was going up.

Several times, the company made out you clicked on something you did not; I was near the item but did not click on it. The quality was poor. I returned some items. Some I received credit for; some I did not. I still have one ring that immediately the gem fell out. There were misleading item descriptions; therefore I overpaid for items. Several items were children's jewelry and there was no mention of that. They should not be allowed to sell diamonds at all; they're coloring them and everything else trying to make them look good, but they look worse.

At the end, I was shopping hard one day and not keeping track of how many items (I didn't know there was a limit) and there was an unusual ball of gems necklace that came up for bid and myself and one other customer were bidding hard on it. The last minute they cut off my bidding, shut me down. They used the excuse that I had 50 items that I had not paid for yet that day. I had always paid, so what was the problem? So, I told them to keep the 50 items; I wouldn't be dealing with them anymore, and they blocked me from their site even though now they have been sending me e-mails and I have notified them not to e-mail me; I want nothing to do with them.

One time, if I had not had the man's name and time he worked at the company who received my returned items, I don't think I would have gotten customer service to do anything concerning my returned items. Their customer service stinks! I was told that they have too fast of a turnover. When my "won" items didn't come over to my account, I was told that they had no way of telling what I had won that morning because they have such a huge rollover. What kind of records, if any, are they keeping then?

The whole company, its operation and its jewelry is a joke. I will no longer deal with a company that is like that, inferior operation, inferior jewelry and inferior item descriptions. So, I am selling at cost and under the jewelry I have gotten there and then look for a reputable dealer. I had gotten a lot of pieces of jewelry in those months from them, and I have received complaints from customers also questioning the item descriptions as well as the price. So, I have many pieces that I won't be able to sell.

Also, the suggested retail value listed on the tags on the jewelry are fabricated and way off what the jewelry is worth. I wouldn't put the jewelry in any store and ask those prices. One of the "won" items I never received was for one of my sons. I have two sons. The one got his ring, and the other did not. It's a shame this company would not make it right with me when the ring came up for auction time and time again.
