I found ads all over the internet advertising for Entry Level Marketing Jobs. Base pay $35,000 to $45,000 plus commission and bonuses. I became excited thinking "finally I found a career that pays well". I begin to research the company "Chicago Retail Solutions (CRS)"...I could not find ANYTHING! I thought it was odd that not even a good nor bad word was spoken on this company.

Still having that "odd feeling" I went to the interview and met with a manager who explained he had relocated from Atlanta to take this job and how by the end of 2011 they want to open up 6 more offices. He showed me a huge map on the wall that had pins in it showing their many stores already in existence, all of them were SouthEastern (ALARM #1). He explained that this is was a manager in training position and will consist of 4 stages. (1) I am to sit in big retail stores (like Walmart, Target, Sam's Club etc..) at a table and try to sell Direct TV to customers that walk through the doors. (2) I am to make atleast 3-5 accounts. (3) Once I have those accounts that I am taken off the streets and placed in an office so that I can learn how to manage those accounts. Once I manage those accounts they train me more to manage a team. (4) I am now being promoted to run an office and taught on the finances of running an office, paying the utility bills and hiring my staff.  ALL THIS IN 4-6 MONTHS!.....just a little odd. I have heard of fast track but this is a little too rushed to go from table in a grocery store to CEO.

He did not ask me detailed questions about my resume but rather explained how in 4-6 months I will go from being in my interviee chair to being behind "the big" desk owning my own and managing my own location (ALARM #2). He mentioned that he would schedule me for part 2 and 3 of the interview by assigning me to an account manager who will take me to the retail store where I will watch how he or she will set up in either Walmart, Target, Sam's Club etc... and market for Direct TV and try to get customers to switch over to Direct TV provider. After I stay with the account manager for an hour and a half then I am to drive back to the office where step 3 of the interview will take place and that is when the offer of the job will take place.

Well the interview took a total of 15 minutes and already I felt uneasy. He never talked about the history of the company, he couldn't give me any info on the CEO and I felt that the 4-6 month process was a little fast to own and operate my own building lock and key and manage 30 plus ppl. He doesn't even know who I am or my full name yet. (never checked for an ID or anything).

So I went back home and researched some more. I thought that I was overthinking this wonderful opportunity. But it still bothered me that I couldn't find any good sayings or bad sayings about Chicago Retail Solutions.  I mean if this company has over 400 employees and has stores all throughout the SouthEast then surely some employees or customers should have something good or bad to say....RIGHT??? NOT TO MENTION IF THIS COMPANY IS CALLED CHICAGO RETAIL SOLUTIONS, WHY IS IT SOUTHEAST FIRST?? The guy I interviewed with said that they were new to the Chicago Land Area and hope to expand North now. Why would someone start a Franchise SouthEast and name it CHICAGO Retail Solutions???  (Alarm #4).

Well Wrong!.....I couldn't find not one word on this CRS. "Lo, and Behold", I thought about researching the CEO's name: Bill Bishop....and BiNg bInG BiNg!!! The alarms were sounded and confirmed. This crook has been moving around from location to location changing his company's name. When I read all the reports on RipOff Report.com it makes perfect sense that all these locations were SouthEast....the same area that CRS is "from".

I give Bill Bishop an applause because he does cover his tracks well....but one thing you can never erase or cover up....is a bad reputable name!!

It is a shame that people will try to scam and take advantage of hurting people who are trying to find honest paying careers.

I am greatful for people who post and expose scams like this becuase it helps people avoid them and saves time and money on the commute to attend another dead-end interview. People waste their last dollars on expensive gas to drive to these ripoff interviews!

Chicago Retail Soutions is not a safe work Opportunity!! Another Scam!
