I had a $320.00 charge hit my bank account for a Georgia Power Utility bill, as well as a $3.95 fee charged by Bill Matrix. I've never had an account with Georgia Power in my life.

Someone used my account to pay over the phone. They either told them the wrong account number in error, or they intentionally committed fraud. Either way, I figured they would refund the money. I was wrong.

The representative said that their policy dictates that they can't file a claim for the money to be refunded until 60 days have passed. That is just to file the claim. You then must wait for the money to actually be refunded.

The only rationale is to collect interest on the stolen money, or hope they never have to refund it. This company has no integrity. I can't believe anyone would work for them and keep any form of morality. I can't believe any company would associate with this company (i.e. Georgia Power)

I took my claim to my bank. They should give the money back in 5 business days. There is no telling how much money that Bill Matrix takes into income that is stolen money. I would love to join a class action lawsuit against this company, so they have to pay some form of punitive damages.

I noted that you included Fiserv. They don't refund money and have nothing to do with you being ripped off except for probably being the ones that called you to let you know that there was possible fraud, verified it, canceled your cards and HELPED you fill out your "stolen card" reports and your fraud reports and sent them into your financial institution. Just because your own financial institution dropped the ball, you should be giving thanks to the hard work us fraud prevention specialists do. Otherwise you probably would've A. Lost more money if not all, or never even know it happened in the first place. You should show thanks and respect to Fiserv.
