I am not 100% sure what Biolife Plasma Centers would be under. I was recently deffered as they said, from donating my plasma at their facilities (any and all included). Since I am no longer a donor at their facility, I have requested that they destroy my most personal information from their records. Because all of their staff has very easy, simple access to my social security card number, all of my medical istory, my home address, my phone number, my date of birth, and pretty much anything else that could be used fraudulently or for identity theft.

When I went in for my physical, I signed this waver stating that as long as I was a donor, I gave them access to my records for emdical purposes. However, sicne I am no longer donating, the lady who deffered me herself said the contract was broken. However, after many attempts of trying to get them to respect my wishes and respect my personal private information, they refuse to give it up and work with me. In fact, I got laughs from the staff over the phone the last time I called to request that they remove my personal info from their records so no one in the facility had access to it.

They refused once again. I have tried to get through to them via email, in writing via postal mail, and also over the phone, to no avail. They do not need my personal information, and I never signed my life voer to them until time indefinite. I know that I ahve legal rights here, but I am having trouble figuring out what they are. I need help from a good lawyer who may have dealt wiht cases similar to this. I will pay money if I can find one that knows thier stuff and can get Biolife to destroy my personal information. They are being abusive by treating me like I have no rights, like I don't even matter. But when I was a donor at their facility, they were such suck-ups.

Most of their employees, I saw to my horror, do not wear gloves when inserting needles into people's arms at this facility in Eau Claire. One of the employees there was a guy and gave me the creeps because he was always staring at me, watching me. He would actually "caress" my arm and touch my hand in strange ways while working around me. It was very weird and I dreaded going in just because I didn't want HIM touching me (which is why I never went regularly).

This man also has access to my records, and it really gives me the willies. I do not feel safe with this facility having that much information about me.

I hope somebody who can help in this matter reads this, because I need it. I could call an attorney but I am not even sure what category my case would fall under.
