I have just read on this site that someone else has had a similar problem with Black Widow Internet as I have had. When I raised this issue with them they were not interested at all.  As with the other report, the sales team are very slick and keen to get your business but after that it all falls apart. 


Here are the last e-mails I sent to them detailing the total lack of performance on their behalf.  We paid 1400 upfront and have had to wave bye, bye to this.  Let me know what you think.

I need you to help me out here.  I am not sure how the sales team interact with the web development team but I am getting no response from Tom despite e-mailing and leaving a voice message.


 


You guys have had the go-ahead for this project from late June but the only outputs we have had is a site map that had been given no thought what so ever and certainly did not reflect the brief and two rough design diagrams.


I have asked Tom to send me a time line on several occasions but still have not received anything. 


 


My experience of developing extremely complex websites for numerous companies is that they do not take any longer than 3/4 weeks to build with the final weeks spent on client refinements.


 


Your sales team are very persistent at getting the business but once you have it, your account management is appalling .  It seems to me  there is very little interest in working on this site.  I need some guarantees from you that this site will be given priority and a time line sent and agreed by me by close of play tomorrow otherwise I will request that the deposit paid is refunded due to breach of contract.

I am shocked by your email, and extremely disappointed to hear that your account manager's communication has been terrible. Unfortunately I am currently on annual leave until Monday 3rd August, what I will do is have Jason my second in command contact you tomorrow to go over the project and visuals with you.


 


Karen, if you have any further concerns please do not hesitate in contacting me, I will call you early next week to ensure your project is running smoothly.

I think we have now come to the end of the road with this project and our business relationship.  I am also requesting that you pay back the entire deposit we have paid as you have failed to deliver anything on this project since cashing the cheque 10 weeks ago.  It is obvious from the sheer lack of response on your part that you simply do not have the staff to service this project, as despite raising a number of issues with you nothing seems to have moved forward.  Below is a chronological list of what has or has not happened so far:


 


1.       31st May 2009 Received project quotation


2.       4th June 2009 Project quotation approved by PPC


3.       5th June 2009 50% project cost cleared PPC bank account


4.       10th June 2009 Welcome e-mail from Tom King with visual questionnaire


5.       15th June 2009 Visual questionnaire completed and returned to Tom King


6.       25th June 2009 Discussion with Tom King regarding uploading Glassnet info on to site


7.       15th July 2009 E-mail from Karen Winterhalter chasing up to see what was happening with project no response


8.       15th July 2009 Call to sales department from Karen  to see what was happening discussion with Pete Maguire


9.       15th July 2009 Response from Tom King stating he had been on holiday


10.   16th July 2009 Adaption of site map sent by Tom King


11.   17th July 2009 Visual of site sent from Vicky Smith


12.   22nd July 2009 Visual 61 approved and feedback given to Tom King


13.   28th July 2009 Chased Tom King to find out what was happening no response


14.   30th July 2009 E-mail to Pete Maguire to find out what is happening


15.   30th July 2009 Jason Hall appointed as Account Manager


16.   1st Aug 2009 E-mail from Jason Hall stating that he would be getting things over to the new designers


17.   5th Aug 2009 E-mail requesting Jason Hall to call me to discuss project


18.   5th Aug 2009 Call with Jason Hall to discuss project, informed that it could be at least 60-90 days before the website is up and running website visuals promised by end of week 7th Aug


19.   10th Aug 2009 No visuals received to date


20.   10th Aug 2009 10 weeks since cashing of cheque but no real work done to date


The outcome of this is that we are not longer developing a site with Black Widow who have agreed to cancel the project but not return the deposit, however they have not sent us any documentation.
