Blackwell Burns and Pratt is owned, operated and managed by James Pratt, President (pratt@blackwellburns.com), current cell as of this posting: 214-924-8760 and John Stitt, CEO (stitt@blackwellburns.com).  Blackwell and Burns are aliases.  BBP appears to be part of a collection methodology born and proliferating out of the Dallas, TX area including: National Recovery Systems (NRS).  BBP's star protege's include a 23 year old Pakastani and an ex-homeless Jamaican.

The leadership of this group, specifically Pratt, are living a big lie.  No matter what else they say and do, the most despicable and clear act of deception is as follows:  They use intimidation and disrepect to find out who is submissive enough not to hang up on them.  Once Blackwell Burns and Pratt gets prospects to identify a debtor, they tell propsects that BBP has a special database to check the financial status of the prospect's debtor.  Blackwell Burns and Pratt will then say the debtor has a code 13 or 17, or ???  Blackwell Burns and Pratt follows by saying that means the debtor has outstanding check deficiencies, high potential for bankruptcy, etc.  It is all made up and amounts to wrongfully slandering the debtor.  BBP has two databases-  google and an on-line business directory similar to Dun & Bradstreet.  When they are checking these two databases, prior to stating their fraud codes, they are just checking to see if the debtor has an active phone number and address, which is the determining factor of whether they have a chance of collecting.  Blackwell Burns and Pratt focuses on industries that sell to farmers, because farmers have so much to lose.  Blackwell Burns and Pratt could never justify their 33-50% collection fee without this pretenious act.  Blackwell Burns and Pratt also claims to have affiliations with scores of collection attorneys throughout the world; this is doubtful.  Note that Blackwell Burns and Pratt are masters of negotiations 101- split the difference on proposed fees.  So if you chosse to use Blackwell Burns and Pratt, start low!  If Blackwell Burns and Pratt does engage in collectins for you, plan to loose that customer and their friends forever, and possibly be sued for negligent and fraudulent collection practices.
