Well where to begin. I found the blu cig electronic cigarettes on an ad on a file sharing site. That should have been my first clue. I have never seen any ads elsewhere from any legitimate sites. I wanted to try and quit smoking so i ordered the more expensive premier pack with the social networking features. They said I had 30 days to try it out and if i didnt like it i could send it back. So i bought that pack and a couple extra cartridge packs to get over a hundred dollars for free shipping.

well it took me a week to get used to it and to figure out how to smoke it. By the time i learned how to smoke it one of the batteries went bad. I got maybe 20 hits off of it before the unit would die. Anyhow i went and bought another battery and received it bout 7 days after placing the order. Now here i am smoking it and now i cant firgure out why after i took about 20 hits i wouldnt get a good hit anymore. So i decided to take apart one of the cartridges to see what was on the inside. I went to youtube and watched some videos and then took my cartridge apart. The reason I wasnt getting good hits was because they use some type of soft fibers around where the nicotine was and after a little bit it would get sopping wet. It was harder for the thing to let you get a good hit after that. The videos i watched on youtube showed that other companies use some type of metal mesh around where the nicotine went which would never get sopping wet which allowed you to always get a good hit.

So i decided to return them and try a different kind of electronic cigarette. This is where the trouble started.

First i call them up and say i would like to return these on the 30 day gurantee. they said well you only have a couple of days to get them back to us. I said what do you mean i have 30 days to try this product. Apparently you do not get 30 days. You get 3 weeks.. You have to return this stuff to them before the 30 days and if you dont you are stuck with them. 30 days means to me that i have 30 days to try the product. Its sort of a bait and switch. Fine i said i can have back to you by that time.

So i package up the product and even include the the original 5 cartridges that came with what i ordered because they said you have to return everything that came with the unit. I had all the paperwork it came with which was about 5 little cards all saying the same thing. and even included the original 5 cartridges which i have already stated. I spent 12 dollars shipping it back.

They received it a day early and i call up to make sure everything was going ok and guess what....they said the cord was missing and i would be charged for that. I never had a cord i only had the wall adapter and the usb adapter and because i didnt know better i only ever used those two items to charge the batteries. they said the cord would have been used to charge the pack. i never charged the pack nor did i ever carry it with me beyond that first time.

every time i ask to speak with a manager they dont want you to. The first time there was no manager there. I said fine. I call back the next day and guess what it would take 2 days for a call back that the manager was busy. I called back again and a woman answers the phone and says she is not at his desk.

She and his doesnt make sense. i beleive they lie about the manager and just dont want to be bothered by you.

This whole ordeal has left a terrible taste in my mouth. Never again. I am also going to post this same section of text in a couple of other places mostly because i hate typing and only do so when i feel i have been wronged by someone. I would hate to have to retype this so ill just copy and paste.

before you buy from the blucig people watch youtube videos and maybe you will find a company that is better with a better product.

1. You dont get a full 30 days trial

2. the customer service people lied about things

3. they nickel and dime you.

4. the original cartridges that come with it dont have that much nicotiune in them

5. poor customer service.

6 12.95 for a usb cord is overpriced. I beleive they know everything that is going on and when someone wants to return the items they just dont like it and want to cause problems.

7. There must be a reason they only advertise on file sharing websites.

I got my starter kit from Blu at a retail store. However after emailing the corp office of the retail chain I was allowed to return it for a full refund.

One of the problems is that the company (Blu) doesn't make it clear that the batteries on their product only last about 20 minutes. Blu makes it seem like you can spend all night out at the bar drinking and partying and you're handy Blu will be there for you all night. Only in the small print buried in a back page of their site do they say it is for social smokers and not for someone who smokes more than 2 cigarettes a week.

The battery life/charge if equated to a car would be buying a car that needs to be filled up with every 2 or 3 blocks.

Trying to return their product is impossible.

I'm not sure if I am allowed to place a link here or not (feel free to X out the link). Forums and places like  E-Cigarette-Forum let you get some opinions and reviews before shopping for an e-cig. A basic Blu kit will run $70 and the batteries last about 20 mins. Starter kits from other companies with batteries that last you 6-12 hours can run for $45.

I'm glad I was actually able to return the Blu via the retailer. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. I haven't had a cig in over a week thanks to the research and help I got. Unanimous consensus on any e-cig site is to stay away from Blue.

Blu Cigs

AUTHOR: Richard - (U.S.A.)

I Still have not received a refund. When I called them they at first said my info was lost and it would take a couple of hours for them to find it. So I contacted the bbb and lodged a complaint. They told me that This company has 103 complaints against them which is unusual for a small company of this size. The complaints all stem from different things like advertising or shipping or product itself. I beleive that nobody really knows how to search for this company on the net. When i searched for reviews i used the term Blucig. That brought up nothing negative. I have since learned that you have to type blu cigs in order to find out about all the complaints regarding this company. Anyway here is what i wrote in my complaint against them with the bbb. I apologize if it seems like one long paragraph but thats just the way it is.

Complaint Description: 30 day money back on front page of site. Nowhere through the order process does it say you must have everything mailed back to the company before your 30 days is up. If i hadnt of called in with an issue at the 3 week mark i would not have known that a 30 day gurantee was actually way less than that. The only way i was able to pull up that fact was by clicking on the support page and reading it. I didnt even know it was there until today. They show in big letters 30 day money back knowing that most people will see that and not read any further on it. if it says 30 day money back there should not be any restrictions and if there are you should be able to click where it says 30 day money back and be taken to a page where it explained it in more detail. which i attempted to do and when there was no hyperlink attached to it i took it at its word that there was a 30 day money back gurantee. Its a deceptive way to do things and i beleive they know that. I did manage to get the item shipped back a day before my 30 days was up and i called in to make sure they received it and i was told it was missing parts. There were no missing parts. They received everything that was shipped to me right down to the papers that came with it. 5 papers all saying the same thing. they received it all back. then im told that the refund does not include the cartridges which also does not say under the 30 day money back that this item is excluded fromt the 30 day gurantee. Nowhere on the site does it say it is excluded. It does say cartridge sales are final but that means nothing in this issue. it should have said that they are excluded from the 30 day money back gurantee. and it only says cartridge sales are final on the support page. So i said ok im not worried about the cartridges just refund the money for the starter pack thats when they say that i was missing a cord and they were docking me another 12.95 from my refund. so roughly thats 22 dollars plus 13 dollars is 35 dollars that i was docked from my refund. I never had the cable they spoke of. i only had the 2 chargers. i beleive they are trying to nickel and dime me. add 35 plus the 10 dollars for shipping and now we are up to 45 dollars for an 80 dollar product. so just what am i getting back 68 dollars. if we subtract this stuff i really only get back 23 dollars. I might have done the math wrong but dont feel like re doing it. so i say fine refund my money and im told that they have processed it. so i wait for two weeks maybe three and have not seen anything in my bank account. So now i call the company and am tol that my refund was processed on the 10th of november 2011 and was told to call my bank they should have recieved it. So the next morning i call my bank and nothing has ever been recieved. so i call blucig back and now i am told they could not find my information and asked me to call them back in 2 hours while they look for it. meanwhile i start looking more in depth on this company and found that hey have complaints on,, and 103 complaints with the better business bureau. so apprently this company is not doing people right. Probably why the only advertisement i have seen from them are on file sharing websites.

Your Desired Resolution: My initial order was 101 dollars. the starter pack was 80 dollars. I want a full refund of the starter pack of 80 dollars. Actually i want all the money i spent with this company for all the hassle i have gone through. But i will settle for the 80 dollars. Also i want that 30 day money back advertisement on their website no matter where it is to be clickable so people can click on it and be taken to a page where it explains in more detail how the 30 day money back gurantee works.
