One problem after another with Blue Haven. Sleazy operation from the moment they get your money. They tried to con us out of an additional $4000 engineering report for County permit process. I found out that they used the wrong address to justify this little slip up. No apology. No ownership. They put the wrong tile on our pool then blamed us! As it turned out the tile company changed their tile scheme and they reimbursed us but Frank Firetti wasn't even at fault yet he was hostile toward us instead of trying to find a solution!!?? The day before the final piece (plaster and water) we got an enote saying the payment in full is due before they can start plastering. (They want all the money so there's no recourse if anything goes wrong)

Problem in this case was they couldn't do simple math. The balance remaining was $4400 in their favor with new charges that magically appeared including charges for the plaster subcontractor and threats that if we don't pay it would take 6 additional weeks to get the sub to show up. We felt over a barrel and they would not take our phone calls to remedy. When the plaster sub showed up he was adamant he wouldn't start unless we gave him a check in full. We were months over schedule so figured we'd resolve it later and wanted the sub to not delay. Then we found out they had the wrong material for the job. Unbelievable!

We sent them away. Miraculously, blue haven took our calls when they didn't get our money. The sub somehow made room the very next day with the correct materials and at that point Blue haven relented on their little math error too but still wanted payment in full instead of the normal 10% remaining balance until final inspection. I thought we were almost done with them with the only remaining pool school on the equipment normally done within a few days. Weeks later after numerous calls and blue haven avoiding and hanging up on us, we finally got them to show up. (After algie started forming) Very unhappy with blue haven!! But don't take my word for it, do your homework, read all the other reviews, ask the pool supply companies. Blue haven has a horrible reputation!! I really can't believe Frank Firretti is still in business.

The first lie to address is when the Davies said that we tried to con them out of $4,000. The Loudoun County Site engineer, Gerrard, had mistakenly pulled a site report using their neighbors address which showed bad soil. Once the mistaken address was discovered the engineer apologized for the mix up and approved their site plan.

The Davies selected their tile. We ordered it and installed it. They didn't like it. I offered to demo and replace with tile that they purchased. That wasn't enough for them. As we proved to them that the tile was what they ordered, they accused the Italian manufacturer of mislabeling the tile. They contacted SCP, from whom we purchased the tile and complained to them. They got nowhere with SCP. Then they contacted NPT, the supplier of the tile, and complained to them who in turn refunded them $1,200 to make them "go away". After receiving the $1,200 from NPT, the Davies were happy with the tile they originally selected.

This is why we require payment from all customers but especially from the Davies who argued with every payment that was due.

The Davies speak of time delays. The pool was dug 10/27/2015 and much was completed through November and December. Work commenced in March of 2016 after much snow in winter and record setting rainfall in Spring. They decided to add rockwork, a waterfall and a Koi pond which added about 4 weeks to the project. The pool was plastered and completed 6/14/2016.

The Davies claim that there was a balance owed of $4,400 of erroneous charges. This is not true. All charges were per contract and signed addendums.

The Davies had initially refused to pay at time of plaster per the contract. They were told that if payment was not made at time of plaster per the contract that they would be rescheduled until payment would be made.

Mr Davies called our office on 7/1/2016 and with much profanity, cursed the women in our office and our 18 year old receptionist. I spoke with him and during his immature tyrade, he mentioned that his pool had algae spots and he was going to sue us for this. Again, per the contract, which he admitted that he didn't read that f****** thing, it clearly states that the pool is considered complete at application of pool finish which was 6/14/2016. His pool was completed and he or his service company are responsible for algae spots.
