I switched my businesses Electric Supply to Blue Pilot Energy after being offered a good rate and a guaranty from their sales dept that their rates are competitive and will always stay below BGE's rates.
My 3 month rate of (.079kwh) sky rocketed to (.469kwh)... 600% increase...after the 3 month rate. It is a classic Bait and Switch scheme and they are getting away with it blaming the polar vortex and the fact that they are a variable rate company.
What BS!!! I called almost every supplier approved by Maryland and found current rates were somewhere between .09kwh and .10kwh.
To prove they are using fraudulent practices, I called Blue Pilot Energy as a company ready to switch today and was quoted a current rate .0919 fixed for 90 days which she said was a little high because of the polar vortex.
I have filed complaints everywhere i can and am hoping that the Maryland's Attorney Generals office will open up an investigation into this Bait and Switch scheme like Pennsylvania's AG did.
What ever you do ...... Stay away from this Company .... Their Nice website and marketing materials do not reflect their Real Business Practices.
