BN North Carolina Scam, very rude, very demanding, Internet

08/9/2010--I have been getting calls from a company that swears they will take legal action if I do not pay them money.(619-309-4469) They seem to know how to make the call come thru on caller ID as the area code I leave in or like the call is being transferred, but still making the number look local.The name they left on the answering machine is United Nations Legal department, requesting I return the call to Micheal or Matthew Smith. When I return their call, I am immediately transferred to someone who answers the phone as an "officer".They claim they are with a company called Cash Networks. They claim I owe them $400.00. The callers have a very deep accent, I can barely make out what they are saying. They did have my information. I called back today and asked for a manager,the more I listened to these poeple, the more I concluded it was all a scam. They wanted me to resolve the issue today by either giving them my checking account number or sending money by western union when they will not provide me with any documentation of the loan. They had the nerve to tell me not to call them back again!!  I am hoping by talking with them today they will not continue to harrass me on my job and at home. I remembered watching an episode on MSNBC not too long ago about the tactic of being an "officer". According to the episode "Real" officers do not participate in collecting debts. I am very sad that through internet transactions I have exposed myself to this kind of harrasment. Please be careful and do not give this group money!!
