Dear Sir
I purchased a 2005 Nissan Frontier from Bob Penkhus Mazda in Colorado Springs, (in powers auto park) and of course was expecting a little thing here and a little thing there with buying a used truck. Starting out, my wife and I where only given one key to the truck, and I had to replace the wiper blades and had 2 more keys made. No remotes came with the truck to unlock or lock the doors, other than that I was fairly happy with my purchase. I told the salesperson at the time of purchase that my wife had to make a 2000 mile trip to see her father, who is not doing well at all. You think a person that knows your about to make a 2000 mile trip would tell you that the key for the locking lug nuts was not in the truck, they did not.

After I went home and getting ready to send my wife off, I got that funny feeling like I should check to see if the truck was ready for a road trip. It was not, and I had to run it down to the Nissan dealer, so they could use the master set of keys they have, pull off the old locking lug nuts and sold me a new set for $42, just in case my wife got a flat tire she could remove the wheel and put on the spare. As I was checking out the truck at the dealer ship before I purchased it, I went for a ride with the salesperson and he told me that the light was on for the air pressure because of the altitude, and in his car, it does it all the time. I have never owned a vehicle with any such system, so I would not know better than to believe what he said.

We have a garage at home and we don't have any reason to lock the doors on are cars at night and we never do, this is leading to the next part of this story, the very first time either my wife or I tried the power locks on the truck it did not work. My wife on her trip called me at the very first stop she made to tell me that the truck would not lock by using the button on the doors, I told her that it would be ok and I'll check it out when she got back.

She spent 2 weeks with her family and returned home, the very first chance I had, I went down to the Nissan dealer to have the oil changed and for them to check out why the power locks where not working and fix the leaking tire I had on the right rear, also told them that I found a plug in the left rear and to pull it off and patch it, and rotate the tires. They found 5 plugs in the right rear and 3 in the left rear, patched them up and what do you know the light for low pressure on the tires went out, and has not come back on. That cost me 150 bucks.

So now the bad news, they told me the BCM (Body Control Module) was not grounding properly and it would have to be replaced at a cost of $750, I was not quite ready for this amount, and with all my heart believe that they knew that it did not work before they sold it to me. Now I do not trust a thing they say at all because, they where willing to let me leave there with a truck that I could not even take the tires off if I had a flat.

Sincerely
Dave ****

I also sent this to them.

Dear Bob

I would like to thank you for the opportunity that I had to purchase my 2005 Nissan truck at your fine establishment, I also would like to take the time to thank you for teaching me another life's lessons.

It was my fault that I did not take the time to thoroughly check every little nut, bolt and screw, every switch, knob and seal. It was my fault that I did not climb over and under every little inch of my truck so I could negotiate every little scratch, bumps and ding. It was my fault that I did not take the time to inspect every tiny little thing so I could spend hours, watching Brian run back and forth between me and the manager negotiating every little thing I could find. I'm really sorry that I made it so easy on everybody, because I was really burnt out at the end of a long day of looking at trucks and talking to dumbass sales people all day long.

I apologize for trusting in your company and that I would be happy to purchase another car or truck from such good people. I really don't think I will be coming back to purchase another car or truck from you Bob, as a matter of fact, I will be contacting the BBB and the Tom Martino Show, next week if we have no resolution to this.
I also think you should check this out http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/224/RipOff0224758.htm because my story is longer than you have been told, and I will not skip a thing in my post. You should seek the truth from your people (I doubt if any of them have the balls to tell you the truth) and fix my truck.

Thanks
Dave ****

P.S. Please don't have Brian call for you anymore, he is still negotiating and I'm not.

Dave ****
