I read a previous complaint about the company calling it self "Body of Change", which is located in LA Fitness Gyms.

I can certainly relate to what she is saying, because I recently acquired a trainer from Body of Change, and like the previous complaintant said, for the first month everything was fine. After that, the trainer was late, or not showing up. He was also a rotten trainer. I complained to the manager of "Body of Change", located at that facility, and he assured me that he would take care of it, but the problems still exists.

Whenever my trainer is late, she tries to cut down on my workout time to accommodate whoever is scheduled after me. He did not weigh or measure me until I was six weeks into the program ( I had to ask why it had not been done). He will not give me a work out checklist, so that I will know what to do when I work-out alone.

When I was ready to sign the contract, I began to read it, and the Body of Fitness Manager asked me if I had read the LA Fitness contract. My response was yes, and he said the if I had read that contract, reading this one would be a waste of time, because the terms were the same. After I realized that the training relationship was going down hill, I sat down and took a good look at the contract. The contract locks you in for a year.
With LA Fitness you can give a 30 day notice, and cancel your membership at any time. This manager specifically told me that if I wanted to cancel at anytime, I would need to give the 30 notice, just like LA Fitnesss. This was a blantant lie.

How could a company be so deceitful? Yes it was my responsibility to read the contract, but I thought that they were apart of LA Fitness, so the contracts would indeed be the same. There was not sign stating the this was a seperate company.

To all others thinking of doing business with Body of Change, Beware.

The Real "Deal"

As a former employee who cares about everything fitness,I'm here to give you the low-down.

As a matter of fact,I worked in the Austell location as well as others. If you must know,I quit not because of the pauldry compensation, but the uncaring attitudes of the manager and fellow
staff members-half of which aren't even
certified!!

They just enlisted that rule in March of 2002,so if you already worked there ,you don't have to be certified at all.And you guessed it,many patrons are getting hurt by these fake "personal trainers".

There is no system of punishment that is enforcible for late or absent trainers, mostly because Body of Change has the largest turnover rate of any organization known to man.We were only hired through interviews with no background or certification checks.and just to digress a little, most of us were barely paid correctly.

Of course there was abuse of the system because all appointments are written in and signed by the trainee.I,myself tried to do what Jesus would do and help my clients physically, nutritionally, and mentally.Bottom line- you have to care in this business, but body of change is a cold-hearted ploy thought up by some over-zealous,out of shape college boys, playing on people's emotions and confidence to sell them a promise that the staff is not equipped to keep.

If you want real results you have to hire an
outside, private trainer. But beware-l.a. fitness
does not allow them in their facility, so be covert The best thing to do is ask a former or current client about their experience.

I know if you were to ask mine, they would all tell you that they had an educational,r esult-producing, and fun time with me,personally.p.s. i quit because they revoked my promotion because my husband and I got pregnant with a wonderful baby girl(I stayed in tip-top shape, too. plus my spirit couldn't handle the "deception". remember, the Lord is the author and creator of beautiful, healthy bodies.
