BonaFide Builders, LLC / Johnathon Allen Took the money and ran Big Sandy Texas

On May 25, 2015 Johnathon Allen of BonaFide Builders, LLC came to my home to discuss the installation and materials for a fence to contain my dogs. We discussed in detail what would be needed, what materials that I have could be utilized, and the remaining materials to be purchased by him, included in the project price. We agreed to a price of One Thousand Six Hundred Fifty dollars ($1650.00). In our discussion, the fact that the ground was extremely wet due to the extensive rainfall we had received over the previous few weeks. He stated that it would not be a problem and that he could place the posts and set the cement without an issue.

Before his departure, he indicated that he needed the cost of materials up front and that he would email or text the copies of receipts once the materials were purchased. He indicated that he and his crew would be at my home the following day, first thing in the morning.

I received a phone call from him on May 26 asking me to call the bank and confirm that I had written the check. This call came in after 9 am. The next day he indicated that he would be purchasing the materials when the check cleared, indicating that it should clear after one day. The next conversation he indicated that he was waiting for the ground to dry out a bit and would be at my home on Friday, no later than Saturday to do the fence installation.

The following Monday, He again indicated that the ground was too wet and that the forecast indicated several dry days and that he and his crew would be there some time that week. He indicated that he would call me the following day with an update. I did not hear from him the following day.

On wednesday evening, I called Johnathon to get an update. I received a text response indicating that he would call me right back. He never returned my call. I phoned the following morning and received no response. Called repeatedly with no response, emailed, no response. Asked for a refund, receipts, etc, via email, no response.

To date, I have received no refund, I have not had the fence installed, nor have I received the materials for which I paid.  Johnathon Allen has taken my money and failed to perform the service for which he was paid, in full.
