I have lived in the Lighthouse Point / Pompano Beach area for 40 years. I have been to Bonefish Mac's several times through the years and had some good and bad meals. I was there in late November 2018 with my family. We had dinner in the restaurant and spent around $500.00. The food was so so. I had the Fish & Chips and was very disappointed. The fish was not fresh, and the batter was horrible. The oil that used to fry the fish in was old, and caused the meal to come out the way it did.Never the less, I paid the bill, my brother and sister went home. And I decided to go to the bar outside. I bought a drink and gave the bartender a $100.00. I had turned my head for a moment, and saw the girl next to me take a $20.00 bill off the stack. When I confronted her she denied taking the money. When I spoke to the bartender, she said it was her word against mine. I asked her again for the money back, and she said again that she didn't take it. It really wasn't about the money, it became more about principle of being robbed at a public place. When the manager was called over, a gentleman named NICK, don't know his last name because no one will give it to me, asked me to leave with out hearing my side.When I confronted NICK, a group of young kids child handled me and pushed me out. It wasn't about the money, but how unprofessional NICK is. I called to speak to his boss RUBIN, again no last name, and he told me he would look into it. Well at this point I could care less ab out Bonefish Mac's and their low quality food and service.
