Boscov's Online Store Ripoff One minute past midnight sorry, no discount! Internet

Saturday night, December 6, I began an on-line Christmas shopping spree at boscovs.com. It was the last day for the extra 20% off sale. I carefully went through their site adding items to my shopping bag as I went. The discount was shown for each item as I added it to my bag. It was getting close to midnight so I began to checkout. I was having trouble getting my purchase to go through. This went on for about ten minutes.

Finally, I got my purchase to go through, but it was just after midnight and my discount was deleted from my purchase. It couldn't have been more than two minutes after midnight so I called their customer service number immediately and left a voicemail (they were closed) and then sent an email. I felt sure that they would reapply my discount after I told them what had happened.

I called them first thing Monday morning and explained what had happened. The customer service rep put me on hold for a minute and came back on to tell me that her supervisor said that once the web site updated, there was nothing they could do.

I told them to cancel my order. It's not like it was 3pm the day after and I was asking for the discount. I feel sure that my problem checking out was on their end, probably due to the site getting ready to update. This was only my second shopping experience with them and I am very disappointed.

I sent one more email yesterday (Monday) to ask one more time about the discount. They have not yet answered my email. I will give an update when (if) I hear anything from them.
