BRICKERS TIRE SERVICE BRICKERS TIRE SERVICE hit on me when I came in to get new tires. They were crude and rude to me. ST. PETERSBURG, Florida

 I really don't know where to begin. Brickers tire co, of St. Petersburg, Fl. was recommended to me by a friend who had work done there in the past. He said it had been quite awhile ago and he hadn't been there in over 4 years, but said he received a fairly good deal last time. I took his word for it and went in to get 4 new tires for my car. Now being a woman, I am cautious who I go to for anything as the auto industry tends to take advantage of women, in general, so I always have my guard up. 

I was told ( not asked ) to sit at this dirty picnic table with grease and dirt all over it . They do not have ANY inside climate controlled areas for their customers to wait, so rather than stand, I opted to sit at this filthy table.Then it started. The one worker, ( he may be the owners son, he had a woman working there that I believe he called Angela or something similar, may have been his wife, who left shortly after I arrived there ) started flirting with me almost immediately after this woman left.  He was talking about how hot it was that day and then said " so are you ".

   I thought " how unprofessional and crude this man was, but My tires were off, and I was virtually a prisoner " so I just sat there and hoped this would be over soon.  The next thing I had to deal with was the condescending the other brother ( he looked similar so I just assumed they were related ) started doing to me. I asked about the differences on the tires they were putting on versus my old ones and he says " sweetheart, I could explain it to you, but you wouldn't understand what I was telling you. How rude to assume I couldn't think for myself and calling me sweetheart was very rude, and sexist .

 I just said ok and prayed I would get out of there asap. I had to get up and stretch my legs for a minute due to the hard table and when I did, the both of them watched my backside until I got out of the building and out of site. I was made to feel like a piece of meat and was getting very scared.  They finally finished and I paid the bill and got out of there as fast as I can. I later checked with some other tire companies and found out they had charged me $70.00 more than I could have purchased the same tires elsewhere and not been subjected to their taunts. Lesson learned!!!

I saw another complaint on a google search and decided to let the public know about this to possible help some women in the future from going through the humiliation they put me through. This is a terrible company that insults your intelligence as well as making you feel like a second class citizen and they treat women like crap, at least they did me. I hope this saves some people from doing business with this company. They don't even have good prices and their service is certainly in need of improvement.

I will never go back to them and if I told my husband how they treated me, there would be hell to pay, so hopefully, he wont see this post and I must remain anonymous to avoid this, also,   I am afraid to put my name here as they may be vengeful for being honest and reporting them to the world. Be careful ladies, BRICKERS TIRE  is a scary place to do business ( at least with women ). It's back behind a main strip store and very dirty as well as the rude employees.  Be warned. Stay away!!!!
