Bridgpoint Financial Chris Collins, Christine Alexander This financial company took my money and left me with nothing. Wilmington Delaware

I was contacted by phone and told that I qualified for a $5000 loan but because of my poor credit history I needed to make a security deposit that would be refunded in four months. I sent them $500 and waited for them to send my money (direct deposit).

Needless to say, the money did not arrive and when I contacted them they said that the bank was not comfortable with the loan because of my poor credit history and they needed and additional $800. I sent them the $800 and they told me that the money would be deposited within the hour.

I think you see the pattern here. I did not get the money and they went around and around about when it would be deposited. Then I asked for a refund and they told me it would take up to 15 business it to be sent back to me in a check.

The company seems legit at first, they have send you a "contract" and they get all the pertinent information from you however, I now realize that I have been scammed out of $1300.

The bad thing is that I can call them right now and Christine Alexander will mysteriously be unavailable but Chris Collins will sware up and down that the money was coming and that my refund has been processed.

Oddly enough, when I called to speak to a customer service representative the man that answered the phone sounded just like Chris Collins the top executive.

I have filed complaints with the FTC and the BBB but now my main goal is to warn people about this scam. It seems relatively new (the company) but please don't fall for it. Times are too hard for people to be throwing away money on false promises. It cost me $1300 that I will never see again but I will be ok. I know others won't.
