We began with Brighthouse in early 2000.  When the HDTV scam began, (as we all know, none of this was true and cable continues to work on the old clunker TV's) we decided we had better get a new TV so we wouldn't lose cable.   After we bought a large flat screen, a technician advised it would be a MUCH better picture if we had gold cables AND the HDTV box, at an additional cost per month, of course.  We took the bait and soon learned it didn't do a thing.  In December 2008, we needed a modem for my new laptop and router. 

Someone came in and installed that.  Our TV began checking and freezing and would make a very loud BBBBTTTTTHHHHHHHH noise which was totally unnerving.  Brighthouse repeatedly sent out techs, supervisor techs and the supervisors of supervisor techs.  NOTHING!!!  I was even taping this problem on the DVR.  They changed out the DVR several times and could never find a problem.  I asked over, and over and over....PLEASE check the outside wiring.  The only thing they wanted to do was get in the house to check the inside wiring.  I couldn't get it through to them there is NO inside wiring. 

The wiring came from the pole, to the house, around the OUTSIDE of the house, down the house in plaid view and through a hole they drilled into the side of the house, coming into the living room  with 3 feet in the house going directly into the TV.  I was also losing my internet service on a regular basis, getting as many as 20-30 IP addresses a day.  I lost many, many papers and assignments while I was in school and many evenings, had to go to the library to use the computers there.  I finally got so sick of the loud noise on the TV, I pulled the DVR and told them to come and get it.  After it was taken out, it stopped. 

Unfortunately, I continued to lose the internet, always needing many IP addresses to reconnect.  My Sony Vaio was useless to me most of the time and I called, not only Sony, but Microsoft and Linksys.  I also called Brighthouse who continued to tell me the router was getting a great signal and there was nothing wrong with it.  That was also changed out several times.  As almost always, I tried to deal with the corporate office.  I begged and pleaded to check the outside wiring over and over.  Since we moved to this home in 1987 and knew for a FACT the wiring was original, I felt there was an issue outside and discontinued allowing techs to come inside my home. 

They would literally refuse to send anyone out.  They finally sent out some joker that looked around, didn't actually check anything out, and said the wiring was better than the new stuff they put in now.  I put up with this garbage for THREE years.  Believing my computer was going bad at 3 years old, my husband bought me a Toshiba Satellite two weeks ago, a new Linksys router and when I set it up, guess what???? NO INTERNET!!   I called Brighthouse again and told them.  The J---A-- I talked to reset the modem, but I first requested her to see how many IP addresses she was wiping out.  OOPS, she conveniently did so before she could count them all. 

For another week, no service.  I called the corporate office and finally got through to "Miss Lewis", John Dosier's right hand man.  John Dosier is the VP there.  After several calls, I finally made it clear I wasn't going to screw around with them anymore and would contact the FCC.  Imagine my surprise when I came home later that afternoon and my husband told me someone came out and found rusted wires on one of the poles.... OUTSIDE.... no inside the home, but OUTISDE.   I began having problems in June of 2007 with the internet and this is the kind of service I received for their high priced nothing they charge monthly.  If you want to be treated poorly, get Brighthouse.  They'll see to it that you get treated like dog s---.
