Broadway Auto Credit High mileage, high-priced heaps, poorly repaired using the cheapest of parts - no empathy. Green Bay, Wisconsin

Bought a car back in 2009 because of credit issues I've had in the past that honestly, were out of my control. So, yes, I could have easily decided to walk away and find something better but out of desperation I purchased a vehicle at Broadway Auto Credit.

I understand the risks, etc. but these cars are nothing more than trade-in vehicles from their main dealership that would otherwise end up at auction or in the scrap yard, repaired just enough to make them legally saleable.

Within the first 6 months or so, the passenger side door hinge weld broke so I am unable to use the door as it will fall off unless the unibody area that holds it in is replaced and rewelded. The cars rust and scratches were 'creatively concealed' while I was buying the car.

The tires on the car are probably the cheapest, crappiest pieces of garbage they could find in order to make the car even remotely roadworthy. This thing is absolutely treacherous on any roads with any moisture let alone downright deadly in the snow. So, there would be another $500 investment in some decent tires just to make it safe. While they are required by LAW to have functional brakes, they use the cheapest repair components (the difference between CRAP brake pads and GOOD brake pads is literally $7) just to sell the car. Brake squeal and grinding, electrical problems, a leaky heater core, a battery I had to replace the DAY I bought the car, worn suspension and unsafe at almost any speed. And, of course all of the issues were conveniently not covered in their 'warranty'. I can't wait to be out from under this crap-pile. Caveat Emptor here, BIG TIME people.

I fully acknowledge that (most) people with credit problems have the onus on them to rebuild their credit, they should look elsewhere and save for a sizable down payment so they don't get caught in a trap of paying THOUSANDS of dollars for a car worth hundreds.
