My wife and I purchessed a vehicle, a 1999 Chrysler Town&Country Mini van. from this dealer, we told him what we could afford and the we had just completed
bankruptcy.

The dealer showed us what he had and the wife fell in love with the town&country. We then test drove it it seemed ok. Then we said we want to see the numbers. He came back with over $400.00 per month. We said no way.

He refigured and came doun to $398.00 again we said no, so he refigured and said he could not come down any more. I told him no way that we need a payment of no more then $329.00. So he refigured and kept taking away from the little insignificant fees and got the payment down to $395.75 w 15.95% interest.

So we accepted, thinking that if we did not like the deal we could cancel it within 72 hrs and return the vehicle. But this was not the case.

After thinking over the deal when my wife could talk without the dealer influnce. I returned the vehicle to the dealer after only a little over 12 hrs, in the same condition as we received it. The dealer said no we could not return it and that there was no such law in Arizona that gives a person that right.

We argued and he called the Police (as a civil stand by ) I left the van at his lot after talking to my Attorney and upon his advice.

The dealer called me after I got back to the house and said that he had good news for me. Said he got the payment droped to $378.36. I told I was not interested. Well after calling my friend, a reporter at news channel 3 he said that in Az that is not the case that there is no cooling off period law as far as autos and that we would have to accept the deal.

Auto buyers be warned. State and Federal Law does not give you a cooling off period if you buy a car from a dealer in Az. Lesson: Don't Sign and Don't Accept if you don't like the deal.
