Months of questions and requests for proof for the deposit of donation funds were met with verbal abuse or went just plain unanswered by Murrieta, California Youtubers Bryan and Missy Lanning.

Finally when Youtube donators had enough they came together to get to the bottom of it! They contacted the Non-Profit organization, Oak Meadows Ranch in Wildomar, CA and what they heard on the end of the phone shocked everyone.

After receiving donations for months and over triple the time spent requesting for the deposit of funds, both Donators and respected Non-profit foundation, Blue Pearl Project, found out many truths. After a quick chat on the phone it became apparent that not only were funds not received but the non-profit knew nothing about the use of their name for the marketing or collection of funds through the buying of "Karma Cases".  Karma cases where marketed to viewers in various models and price until the donations were verified to have been donated to the non-profit in Late December and again in January.

He told one youtuber "If you must know we raised over two hundred dollars...", others he told, "we raised a TON of money", and later he told another "like around about three hundred bucks". The Ranch was also the location for the filming for Bryan and Melissa Hollister's online reality show, Daily Bumps. The ranch claims that they signed no consent forms for the filming of any online reality show and had not knowledge of the show until they were called one day.

Donator Cassandra had her doubts from the begining, "Come on now... they videotaped a funeral, for gosh sakes. Them NOT filming something that not only was a good deed but that their viewers cared about and helped make happen, just doesn't sound quite right. They film EVERYTHING."

Clearly month and month of inconsistant stories built up and left people frustrated with the situation and lack of oversight. Things only continued to boil when Bryan Lanning said, "We're not an official business or anything" which confused many people. He went on to write, "Obviously if I had an accountant or financial person they would've done it officially and much better I'm sure. I'm not an accountant but I did my best." This attempt to sound uplifting while excusing his hevior did not come across well to those waiting for answers.

Once dailybumps were contacted by the non-profit to inquire about if funds had been collected in its name, Bryan and Melissa immediately, same day, deposited $300 through paypal with the official dailybumps explanation that $194.88 was from the profits of "32 iphone cases" and the remainder was out of pocket. With this he explained the "send money" option in Paypal did not work. Bryan Lanning Apologized for filming their "reality show" on the Oak Meadows Ranch property without full prior consent and the "confusion about it".

Cathie argued, "Anyone who uses Paypal knows they get an email once the transaction took place.. So Bryan and Missy had to know back in Dec ( if they really did donate , which I doubt it) that the transaction went through. What the ranch needs is PROOF that they only sold 194.00 in profit because I also feel that is a lie".

DailyBumps Bryan Lanning immediately replied, "We've sent proof and all the numbers. This is between the ranch and us and we've dealt with it." which only seemed to add confusion and anger to the issue.

Many dispute Bryan and Melissa's claims and request IRS intervention for their businesses and the audit and recovery of all donations. The majority of their viewers consist mostly of a female audience: Young girls, pregnany women, stay at home mom's, and military wives. These women claim that their trust was broken when repeated attempts for information was turned down and even rudely dismissed as to never discuss again. Most claim their comments were deleted and they were blocked from all forms of communications in order to discuss the funds.

It has also been noted that Bryan and Melissa Lanning have extensive knowledge and background in business, with Lanning Imagery, Melissa having worked for the local chamber of commerce and a past in entrepenuership, leading many to believe that they were not "naive" to how "it should be done". The extensive knowledge and daily use of computers that Bryan has in computers makes it "unbelievable that paypal could have thrown him for a loop all of a sudden" claimed Crystal.

At this time Bryan and Melissa Lanning film 7 days a week for 4 youtube channels with their infant son, Oliver Lanning" being the "star of the show". Filming occurs mostly in the bedroom of their parent's home and makeshift studio in Murrieta, CA. They are partnered with Fullscreen, Inc. which allows them to make a significantly larger income than with the sponsors and pay that youtube provides for each view, ad click, and gorilla sponsorship through various styled in-video  ads and twitter "shoutouts". They recieve multi-teired funding which some estimate to be from $2,000 to $10,000 in views on one channel alone.

Dailybumps company Partner Fullscreen, Inc was asked to comment but we were "regrettably" informed that they have "no influence on Youtube's terms of service". We were given a dead end link to "contact youtube directly to report the issue"

Youtube had no immediate response.

Many are using youtube and the hunt for "viral videos" and the the money it brings as an excuse to live in alternative reality where the rules do not apply.

Crimes committed on the internet, business run on the internet should be held accountable in the same manner as any other person or business. It should not give you a pass on taxes and accountability. Youtube gives you an option to sign up as a business, they give out business profiles, and channels operate as businesses opening up "merch" stores. They collect "donations" from viewers, open P.O. boxes, ask that companies contact them at "For business contacts" email address, create brands, and hide behind multiple paypal accounts.

Most reality shows obtain permits, get consent forms signed, and abide by child labor and safety laws. Vlogging while driving is becoming an issue with a vlogger who crashed while driving any filming her children.  In regards to taxes, there is no reason that they can not be paid when making large daily viewer sums, while enjoying the perks of sender gifts and sponsor money/gifts. It is insane that one can act like a business yet hide behind youtube, paypal, and fullscreen partnerships when faced with paying taxes.
