A friend had a broken water pipe on her hotwater heater, water everywhere. Neighbors cleaned up all the water so no heated fans were needed.  Called this company for repairs to water heater, wall, floors and carpeting in the first week of December.  People came into the home about once a week, spent no more than about 4 hours max on any given day.  Was told she could pick the kitchen floor and carpeting that needed to be replaced.  She picked the Linoleum for the kitchen and bath.  waited about a week and a half till it came, It was the wrong color, sent it back.  another week or so went by they brought the right linoleum and had it down in about 3 hours in both the kitchen and bath.  Tracking glue all over it, and of course not cleaning it up.

She ordered carpet and when they brought it, it would have been ghastly in the room against her freshly painted walls, so she refused to accept it.   The person at the company Chad got angry because she didn't like it and another week or so went by before he called her.  Now he's more civilized toward her, she gave him a new piece of carpet sample today and he himmed and hawed because it was expensive, it was $3.50 a square foot.  He said he wanted to make her happy after all it was her home and she had to live in it.

However because she declined the carpet, all of a sudden she had to compromise and pay him $150.00 for the section of linoleum in the bathroom and he would generously take the carpet back, all the time he probably had plans of selling it to someone else for full cost and pocketing her extra 150.

Total time spent in her home probably no more than about 15 hours since Christmas. The people, this Chad has working for him, are very professional and do beautiful work, but they are working in such a way that no client gets a job completed in a timely fashion. This job should have taken no more than about 25 hours start to finish, but it has now been 3 months and nerves are frazzled.  I do not suggest anyone use this company in a crisis, unless you want to be out of your home for a long time.

Submitted survey

AUTHOR: maggimae - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 16, 2013

The survey you send is sent 2 weeks after emergency occurs.  So of course people will respond in kind to the speedy time it take's you to knock on the door, but rest assured you will never get a referral from this lady, no matter what the survey indicated. She needed the job done and sending a true survey may have slowed the process.

Satisfied Customer

AUTHOR: Compleat Restorations - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 06, 2012

We very much appreciate the author of this report looking out for her elderly friend as we all need to be more mindful of the needs of others.  This report, however, does not share the views of the actual homeowner.  On May 24, 2012, we received a handwritten response to a survey that was sent to the homeowner after completion of her job.  The homeowner gave us the highest ratings on all questions, along with some very nice comments, and also said she would recommend us to others.  While this job had its triumphs and challenges, as most jobs do, this job was completed with a very happy and satisfied customer.

Job finally completed

AUTHOR: maggimae - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 18, 2012

I am glad to report that after 4 months this job, that was to take a week or so is finally completed.
They installed the carpet yesterday, taking 1 hour to do so.  The senior is glad it is finally done and
will never recommend them to anyone.
Their workmen that were subbed into the job, were considerate in all their dealings in her home
and did beautiful work, but the company itself sucks in the way the conduct their business.

Update to report

AUTHOR: maggimae - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 15, 2012

This senior citizen was told yesterday that the carpet she picked for her damaged room she
couldn't get, because it was too expensive.  $3.00 a square foot.  They want her to pick
something from their sample board at 99 cents a square foot.
