My husband had a credit card with CHASE a few years ago.

He depleted his retirement and gave the money to his previous wife in order to pay off the credit cards she had incurred. However, she took the monies and ran off with a boyfriend, leaving several credit cards for my husband to take care of.

After just a few months of trying to pay the minimum monthly payments, all of the credit cards jumped from 4% to 28%, making it impossible to make payments to any/all of them.

CHASE also owend the mortgage to the home my husband built. Since the home was worth far more than was owned on it, we gave it back to CHASE when we moved to Utah - in hopes of covering the outstanding credit card debt - however that didn't happen either.

After almost three years of not making a payment, my husband was served a court notice that CHASE had sold his debt to BULLHEAD INVESTMENTS, and he was being called to court to make payment to BULLHEAD INVESTMENTS on this debt.  We hired an attorney and were told he could get us out of this particular debt, however it didn't happen.

BULLHEAD INVESTMENTS produced some generic documents, but no signature from my husband, and was granted a Judgment to be placed on my husband. (All after my husband literally tried to pay this debt twice already.)

I feel that BULLHEAD INVESTMENTS is a very evil company.

How does "unsecured debt" turn into an evil judgment that will not allow for people to move forward in their lives. We will Never be able to purchase a home because of this evil company - that we never signed any agreement with. Is there anyone out there that can help us with this?

How are they evil?

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, September 09, 2014

If Citibank held the mortgage AND your home was foreclosed on, you would STILL have the credit cards to pay off. YOU ASSUMED that them taking the house was all that needed to happen. When your husband FIRST got those credit cards, he agreed that HE or HIS WIFE at that time was responsible for ANY DEBT incurred. How are THEY being evil when ALL they are doing is attempting to collect a debt that is LEGALLY OWED by YOUR husband?? This is what happens when you live beyond your means. I watched it happen to my own parents growing up. I saw them go from a 7bedroom home to section 8 housing in under a year. All due to living off of credit. Credit is all well and good, but it IS NOT free and when it piles up, YOU are the only victim. While YOUR FEELING wont matter didly squat in a court of law, what YOU have done here will. YOU CANNOT PRESENT YOUR OPINIONS AS FACT ON A MEDIA OUTLET!!!! That's a civil CRIME!!! IF this bullhead investments company REALLY wanted to be evil, they would tack on a civil suit for YOU presenting YOUR opinions as FACT!!! There is a reality here that YOU are purposefully ignoring!! reality is that YOUR HUSBAND has OUTSTANDING DEBT!!! As such, once you married him, it ALSO became YOUR DEBT by law. The ONLY WAY OUT is to either work with them to make payments or file bankruptcy. All you have done with THIS post is put yourself AND your husband in danger of a civil suit. YOU have NOT been ripped off. This is JUST what happens when you live on credit. At the time im sure it sounded like a GREAT idea to just use the cards and save the cash, but at a 28% interest rate, you wont be out of the hole until there is ZERO activity on the debt. You MIGHT ask THEM to FREEZE your interest so you don't have it building up again.
