Bought a cell phone wallet from a local Giant Eagle and not even 24 hours later the strap broke, the wallet fell about 4 feet to the ground and broke my cell phone. When I got home I called the number from their website since there was no paper work inside the box.  I was redirected to 800-430-0475, when I got someone on the phone I was told there was nothing that could be done since I did not purchase it from them. I said to the woman on the other end of the phone that it did not make sense since it was their product and not Giant Eagle's, so she took my info and said that a supervisor would call me back. That was Monday 11/23/09 so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited till this morning for a call back when I did not get it I called again. I told the man at the end of the line that it broke and broke my phone and he told me there was nothing that they could do just as the woman did, when I asked to talked to a supervisor he refused! Told me that when Giant Eagle bought it from their wholesaler they did not purchase the added warranty so their customers would be covered by Buxton Bags. [continued below]....

..... WHAT????

No matter where you buy it from them online or from a store you should have a warranty with Buxton.  He tried telling me that if I bought something at Target I couldn't take it to Walmart to have it fixed. I said to him give me an example, he said a laptop. So I said fine, I bought my Dell laptop from Walmart and if it were to break I wouldn't take it to Walmart I would contact Dell just as I did in this situation. He said well that is not the same. I asked for a supervisor again and he would not go and get one. So I told him that I would report him to the BBB and he said "go right ahead, it still won't change the fact that Giant Eagle is the one who owes you a new phone and not us".  So I got off the phone since he would not transfer me to a supervisor and called the manager at Giant Eagle when I explained it to him, he agreed with me and said that was absurd. He took my information and said that it might be Monday before he can get ahold of the asseenontv rep that he purchases off of but he will call me back. Hopefully we can get this resolved and Buxton will pay for a new phone, money back on the junk wallet and some restitution for the headache they endured on me. ARGH!!!  Don't buy this POS wallet from this company!!!
