C & S A young man sold me a magazine subscription, yet I have never received a magazine and the C & S phn # is out of order!!! Huntsville Alabama

I am parent of 4 children and while playing in the yard on July 11, 2007, I was approaced by a young man selling magazine subscriptions. He showed me receipts from a few of my neighbors who had also bought from him. I purchased a subscription which cost me over $40.00. He told me I could cancel payment within the next 3 business days if I changed my mind.

The name of the company was C & S and it clearly stated it could take up to 120 days to receive my first magazine. We are now into January 2008 and I have never received a magazine. I called the number on my receipt and it has been disconnected.

I feel betrayed and saddened that my hard earned money has been squandered by some scam artist and it makes me timid to buy from door to door solicitors ever again. This is the FIRST time I have ever fallen for a scam and hopefully this company will be penalized for their wrong doings.
