Cal Pacific checking credit illegally Chatsworth California

I ordered some tools over the phone from a salesman out of Idaho. I later was told by this salesman that Cal Pacific Tool in Chatsworth California had checked by TRW credit report without my consent. He continued to tell me that's why I wasn't receiving my order. He said that I should notify an attorney about this and the Consumer Complaints Department as this is a $10,000 fine per incident. I have notified an attorney and he is pulling my TRW to see if this is true. If it is he will have a copy sent to all the legal departments that handle this sort of illegal activity. Let it be said I won't be purchasing anything from Cal Pacific Tool again.
