I was about to go to this company for an interview today when I did some research on CAP-Marketing. I found a gentlemen's report on here stating that they were a scam and a rip-off. So I decided to call the company and get my own feel for it. They said they were not a scam and that they guy who wrote the rip-off report was now in jail. Not really believing what he said, I decided to do some of my own research. Since I build websites, I looked up who owned the company websites. The company was estream.com. So I went to their website to find a portfolio which had the website of a company named Granton Marketing. If you do a search on here for Granton Marketing, you will get a lot of bad reports! When I clicked on the link for the Granton Marketing website, it was forwarded to another company website called The Smart Circle. They must have just changed their names. Just a little while later the girl called me to ask if I was still coming in for the interview and I said no. I asked her if she knew a company by the name of Granton Marketing. She said no and that they were owned by Smart Circle. So I basically caught her in a lie, because the two companies were one in the same. She said they were a great company to work for and good luck. I said the same. I am very disappointed and let down :(

The Smart Circle is a supplier of product to smaller independent business with various names throughout the world. All they do is supply the product on consignment to the smaller businesses who then turn around and consign the products on a day by day basis to the individual distributors. These people are the door to door sales people. The Smart Circle was once named Granton Marketing about 2 years ago. It is entirely possible that the girl at the front desk did not know what Granton was as she may have been hired after the change...therefore not making her the liar that you have supposed her to be.
As for eStream...they are simply the IT / site admins that build and or host the sites for the individual companies that are under the Smart Circle umbrella. No different than companies like logoworks.com and rackspace.com. And since you "build websites" you know how that relationship usually goes.
As for the Smart Circle itself. Many people on here complain about the company saying it is a scam. But they only say that about the Smart Circle because they lack the understanding of the company. They are no more than suppliers of product as I have mentioned. If you or anyone else is going to file a complaint about the company, file it about the individual, local office in your area since I doubt you have ever been offered a job by the the main office which apparently resides in Canada.
As for my relationship with the company. I myself have never worked for the Smart Circle or any of the individual office or distributors. I have done some IT work for them in the past and never found anything they do to be unethical or wrong. Just my observations though.
