AVOID THESE PEOPLE/COMPANIES AT ALL COSTS!

Ordered a semi-custom fit 'Cover King' car cover from them in May 2010 for $135.00. Didn't even get it on the vehicle right away. Was only on there about 6 weeks when the wind blew it off and away. Gone forever...

Called them September, complained about a less than adequate fit for the vehicle, being too short in height, and the fact that there no grommets incorporated into the cover to strap it down. They told me it would be covered under warranty.

They initiated a replacement order, however I had to pay for it upfront, and was told that I would get the warranty money credited back to my bank account.

Received the replacement, a week goes by, and no credit was ever issued. Called them again asking where my credit was, and then was told that I wouldn't get my credit. That it's not covered under any warranty.

So it seems that you get a different story from anybody you talk to there. Or I was just 'conned' by telling me I would receive the warranty credit, after I gave them my debit card number.

Was smarter with my first order, (which I had to locate), I paid them through paypal, instead of using my debit card.

Argued with them, (when I wasn't sitting on hold), for well over 40 minutes. Told them because of the fit, and the fact that there were no grommets, that it was a deffective product. They they tell me that with their 'limited warranty', I have to return the old product back in order to receive a credit.

Ah... the old cover is 'gone with the wind'! Can't even send them a picture of it anymore.

These people can hardly speak or understand English, no doubt part of the new wave of lying, immigrant, con artists, that are ripping off the American consumer!

Just from the 'numerous' company names they use, you just have to know that they are up to 'no good'! If one company winds up getting closed down, they will just continue ripping people off with one of the others.

I'm disabled, and on a fixed income. I had to work every penny of this cover into my budget. Now further in debt, expecting that warranty credit to get applied to my account, finding out today, it's not going to happen.

When talking to them, I figured I'd accept the replacement since they 'promised' a credit to be issued, spend $15.00 on a gromet kit, and put my own gromets in it, so this would never happen again. If I knew I would never see that warranty credit, I would have purchased a better cover from someone else.

Now I suppose I have to worry because they have my debit card number!

They have not heard the last of me!

Now I have to waste my time writing letters in attempts to get my credit back. Those funds would have supplied me with groceries for two months!

I surely plan on writing to the Attorney General of California, (consumer fraud department if they have one), the Better Business Bureau, and will be contacting paypal, as well as my bank.

Problem with my bank is that if I put in a dispute, I have to cancel my card and wait for a new one to be issued. Then contact 'all' those auto bill pay contacts, ebay, paypal and countless others, that are 'legitimate', and have my card on file. That's a half day's work right there!

I surely hope this review cost them more time and money that it's going to cost me!

You're Serious?

AUTHOR: Jeff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 21, 2010

You're serious right? Your claim sounds like "The Dog Ate My Homework."

You didn't secure a car cover properly and it blew away, and you want a new one? YOU sound like a fraud.
