Carpet Land Carpet Land and the owner Alex, did a job my 7 years old could have done. Took my money and ran!! Internet

I am a single mother of 2 small children.  For the past 2 years, i have worked hard and saved what i could in order to renovate my home into my 'dream' home.

The renovations were: gutting the kitchen, ripping out the existing tiles, stripping and staining the existing hardwood, electrical, painting etc.

I hired Carpet Land (alex, their owner) to install hardwood flooring in my kitchen and stripping/staining the existing hardwood in the main floor of my house as well as staining the staircase and pickets.  (pickets and risers we agreed would be painted white as it is too difficult of job to sand/stain each picket and risers of stairs).

Alex/Carpet Land installed, stripped and stained.  When it came time to begin work on the staircase, Alex told Greg (the contractor hired to stain the floors) to paint the pickets and risers. 

When i returned home that day, i was horrified when i saw Greg painting!  I asked him what he is doing and his reply was 'Alex told me to paint.  I am not a painter!"  It was too late for him to stop as he was already finished the first coat and ready to start the second.  Greg removed the pickets but never numbered them.  Therefore, when he reinstalled the pickets, they were not secured, very wobbly, unsafe. 

When i called Alex and cried to him on the phone, he said "relax, i will come soon'.  Hours later Alex finally graced his presence in my home, he agreed that the job was not good at all and assured me that CARPET LAND STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORK.

Alex then sent another worker to my home who removed the pickets and the banister. A week went by and I was still without a banister.  I have 2 small children and no banister!  I called and called and no one returned my calls.  It took me to threaten Carpet Land with calling the police to have my banister/pickets returned and reinstalled (without any work done to them in that week!!!). 

they were reinstalled.  again, not numbered when removed.  my staircase is still wobbly and unsafe.

NEVER HIRE CARPET LAND FOR ANY OF YOUR FLOORING NEEDS!
