After buying a extended Vehicle Service Contract, a year ago, this is the first time I needed to use it, and it is not an extend my Vehicle Contract, instead have totally different coverage. Refused to pay and of the repairs to the transmission. After trying to cancel I was told they couldn't tell me what I would get back, until it was cancelled.

carsafe frauds

AUTHOR: Justice - (United States of America)

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster has filed a lawsuit against this auto service contract marketer.Koster said the business used misleading telemarketing, letters, and postcards to market what appeared to be "extended auto warranties" to consumers, but actually were "service contracts" or "automotive additives." He said the business would lead consumers to mistakenly believe their current vehicle warranties were about to expire and that they would not have another opportunity to purchase an extended warranty unless they acted immediately. Many potential customers were not informed that the businesses were not affiliated with the dealership or manufacturer from whom the customers bought their vehicles. Many consumers were unaware they were not actually purchasing auto warranties until they received an auto additive in the mail. The companies sold the products as auto additives to avoid Missouri's service contract laws, which provide some minimal protection for consumers. Consumers did not realize the limited value of the products they were purchasing. The suit is pending.

These idiots are still mailing out letters to people although there is a lawsuit against them. I should know I sent the investigator handling this case a copy of what they sent me after I looked them up online.

You say your coverage was completely different than you thought? Did you ever read it? And how is someone going to tell you what your getting back if they cannot see claims that were filed, the current mileage on your vehicle, or have the time to count up the total days you had it while on the phone? This economy is so sad, you already paid the money into the policy and used it so what does it matter how much your getting back? You should be lucky that your getting a refund bc most companies don't do that!!!

Common Sense

As a consumer you would think that you would have the common sense to call and ask why your claim was denied. CarSafe does NOT pay claims... They sell policies for the 2 biggest VSC or vehicle service contract companies in the U.S. The Administrator or "provider" of your policy takes care of the claims portion, Now if a claim is denied it is for a reason, they DO NOT deny claims "just because".

Every contract that every customer receives states plain as day the exclusions or reasons why a claim would be denied. 90% of the time it is bc it is a pre-existing condition that was never taken care of or it is not a covered part. There is a solid reason behind every denied claim. Every claim called in gets a adjuster sent out to verify the problem and assess the situation.

If your claim was not covered it's for a reason, Do Not take it out on the company/broker who doesn't even hold your policy. Also the 2 companies we use have been in business since 1979 and 1980. The one is used by over 80,000 Dealerships across the United States, thats 1,600 per state! We are far from a scam, so before you actually write something negative why don't you actually BBB your administrator, not jut take it out on the broker. Do your research first.
