I love old American cars /trucks and are currently restoring a 1936 Ford pick up truck that I shipped over to the UK from Oregon last year,

I spend nearly every weekend working on the old truck and most evenings trawling the internet searching for parts etc, so when on 28th October I found a rare set of four 16 inch wire wheels on e-bay I begged my wife to buy them for me for Christmas.

Although the wheels would proove expensive to ship to the UK, I convinced her that she loved me enough to pay the $400 for the wheels plus $325 shipping making a total of $725 which my wife paid imediatly through PayPal,

A couple of weeks went by in which I kept in regular contact with 'CaseysCustoms' via e-bay and his facebook page, only to receive a message saying he had miscalculated the shipping costs and that he required an additiional $225,which again my wife paid straight away without question, as she knew I did not want to loose the wheels at this late stage. this makes a total of $950

I was initially anoyed that Casey Hueser had not taken the effort to source a firm shipping quote earlier, as if I was given a more accurate figure in the first place I might not have gone ahead with the deal , I was also feeling uneasy with the thought I might be being ripped off and would I ever see the wheels , so I voiced my concerns to him , only to be told that he had a good reputation to uphold and that my money was safe , so I let the deal proceed.........

Alas I was then stalled, I believe to try and wait for the 45 day time limit period to expire  that e-bay set for a dispute to be raised by me , but luckily I realised what was happening and have filed a grievence with 'Caseyscustoms' through e-bay and with their help I will probably get the $725 back for the initial transanction , but not the $225 for the additional shipping charges,

I say probably, because I have as yet received no money even though a refund was issued by 'Caseyscustoms' through Paypal , this was not honoured by his bank as it was reported he did not have sufficient funds in his account and this was the same responce when PayPal represented Mr Hueser's check for the second time 

So to date I have not received the goods or my money back leaving me $950 out of pocket

It's not just the money but the priciple,  as Mr Hueser has re advertised the wheels and is still trading on varoius websites such as craigs list and e-bay by using other accounts and changing e-mail addresses etc

This man shoud not be allowed to get away with ripping people off and in my case he thinks he can get away with it because I live thousands of mile away

All that it leaves me to say, is that this saga has not put off this 'Old Limey' from coming to the USA, as being a lover of all thiings American a US road trip has been the top of my 'bucket list' for some time now, so who knows one day I just might pay Mr Heuser a visit...........
